The UFC has cut middleweight Xavier "Professor X" Foupa-Pokam following back-to-back losses inside the Octagon. According to his agent, Ken Pavia, Foupa-Pokam could return to the UFC for a European event, but the main priority is for Professor X to "regain his confidence" with wins outside of the Octagon.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission has issued medical suspensions to nine fighters who fought at UFC 98 on May 23 in Las Vegas. Main event loser Rashad Evans, who suffered a second-round knockout to Lyoto Machida, is suspended until July 23rd for precautionary reasons.
