Also on the card, Mamed Khalidov extended his unbeaten streak to 18-straight by making quick work of Jorge Santiago, while notables Jorge Masvidal, Akihiro Gono, and Dave Herman also picked up wins.

The Sengoku Featherweight Grand Prix also came to an underwhelming conclusion at the card, with Masanori Kanehara being crowned the first-ever Sengoku featherweight champ with a split decision victory over Michihiro Omigawa in the tournament final.

Hatsu Hioki, Michihiro Omigawa, Masenori Kanehara, and Marlon Sandro advanced to the semifinals of the Sengoku's featherweight grand prix on Friday with victories at Sengoku Eighth Battle in Tokyo, Japan.
