Strikeforce’s December 19th is beginning to shape up, fighters already rumored for the event include Robbie Lawler, and Scott Smith. Now joining them is a proposed middleweight match up between Matt Lindland and Ronald “Jacare” Souza, and the promotional debut of Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal against an as yet unknown opponent.

Middleweight Scott Smith has re-signed with Strikeforce, recently agreeing to a new six-fight deal, according to his agent, Mike Roberts, who confirmed the news on Monday to Fanhouse. Smith (16-6) will return to action at a yet-unannounced December Strikeforce event and has his sights set on fighting former champ Frank Shamrock or Benji Radach.

Jake Shields needed less than half a round to submit Robbie Lawler in the main event of Strikeforce: Lawler vs. Shields on Saturday, forcing Lawler to tap to a guillotine choke 2:02 into the opening round of their catchweight headliner. In other main card action, Brett Rogers knocked out Andrei Arlovski in just 22-seconds and Nick Diaz submitted Scott Smith.

Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos weighed-in six pounds over the 146-pound limit for her scheduled bout against Hitomi Akano on Friday in San Jose, California, and must shed an additional 2.5 pounds by 8pm PT for the bout to remain on the Strikeforce: Shamrock vs. Diaz card.
