Randy Couture and Dan Hardy each moved one step closer to title shots in their respective divisions on Saturday with unanimous decision wins at UFC 105 in Manchester, England. Couture edged Brandon Vera in the UFC 105 main event, while Hardy topped Mike Swick in the evening’s co-headliner.

Michael Bisping, Matt Brown, and Ross Pearson were also victorious on the UFC 105 main card.

All 22 UFC 105 fighters, including headliners Randy Couture and Brandon Vera, successfully made weight on Friday for Saturday’s event at the MEN Arena in Manchester, England.

Both Couture and Vera tipped the scale at 204 pounds, while welterweight contenders Mike Swick (170) and Dan Hardy (171) and middleweight notables Michael Bisping (186) and Denis Kang (185) also made weight without issue.

In his first fight since winning the lightweight tournament on The Ultimate Fighter 9, Ross Pearson will return to the Octagon to take on Aaron Riley at UFC 105 on November 14 in Manchester, England.

UFC 105 is expected to air on Spike TV and is rumored to include Michael Bisping vs. Denis Kang, Dan Hardy vs. Dong Hyun Kim, and James Wilks vs. Matt Brown.

Michael Bisping will look to rebound from his UFC 100 knockout loss to Dan Henderson when he returns to action at UFC 105 on November 14 at the MEN Arena in Manchester, England.

“I am gonna kick someone’s backside in Manchester in front of my hometown crowd, then fight again as soon as possible and then rematch with Henderson,” Bisping told the Manchester Evening News. “That wasn’t the best of me in the ring in Vegas and I want another crack at him. I want a top fighter in Manchester, I want to get back up there straight away.”

All twelve fighters who were selected by the Nevada State Athletic Commission to be tested for steroids and drugs of abuse at The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale on June 20 have tested negative.

According to NSAC executive director Keith Kizer, fighters Diego Sanchez, Clay Guida, DaMarques Johnson, James Wilks, Ross Pearson, Andre Winner, Chris Lytle, Joe Stevenson, Brad Blackburn, Nick Osipczak, Melvin Guillard, and Tomasz Drwal tested negative at the Spike-televised event, which took place at The Pearl in Las Vegas.

Diego Sanchez and Joe Stevenson, who both recorded victories on Saturday at The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale, topped the list of official salaries for the event, which were released today by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Sanchez earned $90,000 for his main event win over Clay Guida ($23,000), while Stevenson received $70,000 by topping Nate Diaz ($20,000) in the first bout of the Spike-televised main card.

Diego Sanchez and Clay Guida delivered on their Fight of the Year hype, engaging in a three-round war in the main event of The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale on Saturday that saw Sanchez edge Guida by split decision on the judge’s scorcards.

The rest of the card failed to disappoint either as Chris Lytle and Kevin Burns traded blows in a bout that deserved Fight of the Night before being upstaged by Sanchez and Guida, Joe Stevenson looked impressive in topping Nate Diaz by unanimous decision in a technical battle, and welterweight James Wilks and lightweight Ross Perason were crowned The Ultimate Fighter 9 champions with victories on the Spike-televised main card.

Lightweight headliners Clay Guida (155) and Diego Sanchez (156) successfully made weight on Friday at the weigh-ins for The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale, as did TUF 9 welterweight finalists DaMarques Johnson (170) and James Wilks (171) and lightweight finalists Ross Pearson (156).

The event takes place on Saturday at The Pearl at The Palms in Las Vegas, the same venue which hosted today’s weigh-ins, and airs live on Spike TV beginning at 9pm ET.

An all-UK lightweight final is set for The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale after Team UK's Andre Winner and Ross Pearson advanced with victories over Cameron Dollar and Jason Dent respectively on the 11th episode of TUF 9.
