TUF 8 runner-up Phillipe Nover will return to action against fellow lightweight Rob Emerson at UFC 109 on February 6 in Las Vegas. Nover, fighting for the first time since suffering a seizure in September, has dropped two-straight, while Emerson’s UFC record has been evened at 2-2 with back-to-back losses.

In the UFC 103 headlining bout between former UFC champions Rich Franklin and Vitor Belfort, Belfort made good on his return to the UFC. It’s prediction time again here at MMAFrenzy.com, and I’m going to channel my inner “Carnac the Magnificent” and try to tell you what’s on the other side of tonight’s UFC 103 fights and some of the other staff from the site have joined in as well.

Fighters weighed-in today at the Dallas Convention Center Arena for UFC 103 which will take place Saturday at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Pay-per-view headliner Rich Franklin made weight for the 195 catch weight bout weighing in at 195 pounds on the nose. Co-headliner Vitor Belfort missed weight by a quarter of pound and has two hours to lose the additional weight.

Recent injuries suffered by Matt Wiman and Rob Emerson have forced changes to the UFC’s upcoming UFC 101 and UFC 103 lineups.

A cut that required stitches forced Emerson out of his scheduled UFC 101 preliminary card fight against George Sotiropoulos, with George Roop tapped as a replacement, while Emerson will replace Wiman, who is sidelined with a knee injury, and take on Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 103.

The UFC today announced the majority of the fight card for UFC 101: Declaration, which is set for August 8th at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia. Joining BJ Penn vs. Kenny Florian and Anderson Silva vs. Forrest Griffin on the pay-per-view main card will be Johny Hendricks vs. Amir Sadollah, Ricardo Almeida vs. Kendall Grove, and Josh Neer vs. Kurt Pellgrino.

The UFC on Monday confirmed seven additional bouts for UFC 101, which takes place on August 8th at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia. Officially announced were Ricardo Almeida vs. Kendall Grove, Josh Neer vs. Kurt Pellegrino, Amir Sadollah vs. Johny Hendricks, Tamdan McCrory vs. John Howard, Matt Riddle vs. Dan Cramer, George Sotiropoulos vs. Rob Emerson, and Jesse Lennox vs. Danillo Villefort.

After a close first-round, lightweight Joe Lauzon forced late-replacement Jeremy Stephens to submit to an armbar late in the second-round of their headlining matchup, which capped off UFC Fight Night 17 on Saturday at the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida.

UFC Fight Night 17, the yet unannounced February 7th event which had been rumored for Las Vegas, will instead take place at the 10,000+ seat USF Sun Dome on the campus of the University of South Florida in Tampa.
