The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on Monday released the medical suspensions for Saturday’s UFC 103 event in Dallas, with heavyweight Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic suspended indefinitely following his co-main event loss to Junior dos Santos.

Rich Franklin, Martin Kampmann, Frank Trigg, Hermes Franca, Cole Miller, and Steve Lopez were all suspended until October 20 after suffering knockout losses on the card.

It’s prediction time again here at MMAFrenzy.com, and I’m going to channel my inner “Carnac the Magnificent” and try to tell you what’s on the other side of tonight’s UFC 103 fights and some of the other staff from the site have joined in as well.

Fighters weighed-in today at the Dallas Convention Center Arena for UFC 103 which will take place Saturday at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Pay-per-view headliner Rich Franklin made weight for the 195 catch weight bout weighing in at 195 pounds on the nose. Co-headliner Vitor Belfort missed weight by a quarter of pound and has two hours to lose the additional weight.

UFC President Dana White made several announcements during a Friday press conference, including confirmation that Vitor Belfort will be returning to the Octagon to headline UFC 103 against Rich Franklin, Dan Henderson is next in line for a middleweight title shot against Anderson Silva, and Tito Ortiz is officially returning to the UFC, likely facing Mark Coleman at the promotion’s New Year’s show.

The recently-announced UFC 103 main event rematch between Dan Henderson and Rich Franklin could be off following this weeks collapse of Affliction’s MMA promotion and Tito Ortiz possibly returning to the Octagon.

Though announced, Franklin-Henderson has yet to added to the official fight card for the pay-per-view and rumors are now making the rounds that Dan Henderson vs. Vitor Belfort and Rich Franklin vs. Tito Ortiz could co-headline the September 19 event in Dallas.

After recently meeting one-on-one with UFC President Dana White, Rich Franklin has signed a new six-fight contract with the promotion, with the deal going into effect for his UFC 103 headlining rematch against Dan Henderson.

“I’m assuming (it’s at) 205,” said Franklin on Tuesday. “The last one was at 205. I’d guess that – I haven’t spoken to anyone about it, so anything I say is only speculation. Even if he lost to me at 205, it shouldn’t affect his standing at 185 pounds. So I’d assume the UFC would do this fight at 205.”

In a surprising matchup, middleweight contender Dan Henderson and light heavyweight contender Rich Franklin will meet in the main event of UFC 103 on September 19 in Dallas in a rematch of their January UFC 93 meeting, which saw Henderson top Franklin by split decision.

The UFC announced the bout on Monday and also confirmed the rumored UFC 103 co-headliner between veteran heavyweight Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic and up-and-comer Junior dos Santos.

Rich Franklin, the former UFC middleweight champ who returned to light heavyweight in 2008, informed Fanhouse over the weekend that he “expects to sign a contract by the end of the week” to continue fighting in the UFC after his current deal, which has just one fight remaining, is complete.

Franklin met one-on-one with UFC President Dana White in Las Vegas last week to negotiate an extension and it appears a new contract will be in place soon to keep Franklin in the UFC for the indefinite future and possibly for the remainder of his career.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion and current free agent Tito Ortiz was a guest on TapouT Radio on Thursday, saying on the show that he had made “amends” with the UFC.

If Ortiz is indeed returning to the UFC, the obvious questions that need answered are when will he return to the Octagon and who will he fight. With Ortiz’s possible re-signing not yet official, neither is his return fight, but MMA Mania’s Jesse Holland speculates that Ortiz could headline UFC 103 on September 19 in Dallas against Rich Franklin.

Rumors that Chuck Liddell could headline UFC 103 on September 19th in Dallas, possibly against former middleweight champ and current light heavyweight contender Rich Franklin, appear to have been nothing more than speculation, as the former light heavyweight title-holder tells SI.com that he’s yet to make a decision on retirement and will be sitting out until after April 2010 should he opt to return to the Octagon.

Luiz Cane says he’d like to fight fellow light heavyweight contender Rich Franklin, heavyweight prospect Bobby Lashley will next fight in September, and Diego Sanchez will get the next lightweight title shot against the BJ Penn-Kenny Florian.
