In what seems to be an unfortunate trend for Nick Diaz, the EliteXC lightweight has been restricted from competing as scheduled at this Sunday’s DREAM 3 event in Saitama, Japan:
“Gary Shaw phoned Diaz’s manager Cesar Gracie early Tuesday with the news that the league was killing the fighter’s appearance on the May 11 Dream card. [...]
An EliteXC welterweight title bout between Jake Shields (20-4-1) and Drew Fickett (33-5) scheduled for June 14th in Hawaii has again been postponed, this time due to a knee injury suffered by Fickett.
