UFC Signs Luis “Beicao” Ramos to Replace Mike Swick Against Erick Silva at UFC 134
The UFC has signed welterweight Shooto champion Luis “Beicao” Ramos to replace an injured Mike Swick and face fellow Brazilian Erick Silva on the UFC 134 fight card on August 27 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
UFC 134 is headlined by a rematch between UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva vs. Yushin Okami and also features Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs. Forrest Griffin and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Brendan Schaub.
Mike Swick Off UFC 134 with Knee Injury, Erick Silva to Remain on Card
Mike Swick has been forced out of his return to the Octagon at UFC 134 due to injury. His opponent, Erick Silva, will remain on the UFC 134 fight card and the UFC is expected to name a replacement soon.
Swick was scheduled to make his return to the Octagon after a long layoff due to a misdiagnosed stomach issue. No timetable was given for Swick’s return.

Lightweights Kenny Florian and Evan Dunham headline the event, with Mike Swick vs. David Mitchell, Matt Mitrione vs. Tim Hague, DaMarques Johnson vs. Mike Guymon, and Yves Edwards vs. Melvin Guillard also official for the card.

11 of the 22 fighters in action at Saturday’s “UFC 109: Relentless” event is Las Vegas were issued medical suspensions on Monday by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, including main card winners Chael Sonnen and Demian Maia, as well as losers Mark Coleman, Mike Swick, Dan Miller, and Frank Trigg.
Maia, Swick, and preliminary card fighter Mac Danzig were issued the card’s longest suspensions, sidelined until August unless cleared by a doctor for various injuries.
