According to IGN, the demo will feature UFC 97 foes Chuck Liddell and Maurio “Shogun” Rua as well as a full tutorial on the games controls.

UFC 2009 Undisputed is slated to be released on May 19th.

Rua informed Tatame of the matchup on Sunday.

“I’m back to training. I’m doing some Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu stuff, and thanks God everything is fine now”, said Rua. “I’ll be back in December… They said that I might fight with Quinton Jackson, but nothing has been signed yet. They called me ad offered a fight with him and I accepted, but they didn’t say anything else more.”

With the matchup not yet official Rua is hopeful that Jackson will be recovered and prepared to fight in December.

“[Jackson's legal and health issues] surely can be a problem, but I want him back in December and against me,” said Rua, “and I believe he can be back.”

In their first meeting Rua dispatched Jackson via first-round knockout at PRIDE Total Elimination 2005.

Rua has not fought since being defeated by Forrest Griffin in his UFC debut at UFC 76 in September 2007.

Jackson, who had won his last six-straight fights, was defeated by Griffin via unanimous decision in a light heavyweight championship bout at UFC 86 in July.

– Lightweight IFL veteran Bart Palaszweski has signed a six-fight deal with the WEC. The contract was recently announced by Palaszewski’s coach and fellow WEC fighter Jeff Curran, who also announced that he will dropping from the 145-pound featherweight division to the 135-pound bantamweight division.

– Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos, who was once rumored to be fighting Gina Carano in her next bout, will instead take on Yoko Takahashi on October 4th at Saturday Night Fights 3 on CBS.

– James Thompson, who was defeated in controversial fashion by Kimbo Slice in May at EliteXC’s first-ever CBS event, will face Piotor Kusmierz at Cage Rage 28 on September 20th in London, England.

– A middleweight bout between Joe Riggs and Kazuo Misaki has been officially added to Strikeforce at the Mansion 2 on September 19th.

UFC light heavyweight Mauricio “Shogun” Rua tells Tatame that me may face UFC hall of famer Mark Coleman in December. Rua, a PRIDE veteran, was defeated by Forrest Griffin in his UFC debut in November while Coleman last fought in late-2006, losing to Fedor Emelianenko at PRIDE 32. Coleman and Rua previously fought at PRIDE 31 in early-2006 with Coleman scoring a TKO victory after “Shogun” sustained a broken arm in the opening minute of the bout.

Mauricio Rua is recovering in Brazil after surgery a few weeks ago on his knee.

“The surgery was very quick, lasted 50 minutes, was quiet,” Rua told Sherdog.com. “Now I hope for healing and I think here in about two months I can return to training slowly, very cautiously.”

The Brazilian light heavyweight ruptured the ACL in his left knee while preparing at his academy for a bout against Chuck Liddell. “Shogun” said he had tried to explode into a maneuver while training with Vitor Miranda, and his knee moved strangely.

Rua is expected to return to the octagon in the fall.

Scheduled to make his return to the Octagon this June against Chuck Liddell at UFC 85 in London, light heavyweight star Mauricio “Shogun” Rua has instead been forced to withdraw from the bout due to a ruptured ACL in his left knee, the same injury he had surgery on to repair last October after his UFC 76 fight with Forrest Griffin.

Surgery on the injured knee will be scheduled shortly, and there is no word on when Rua will be cleared to return to the Octagon.

A replacement opponent for Liddell is expected to be announced shortly.

Rua (16-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) entered the UFC in 2007 with high expectations after winning 4-straight fights in PRIDE but was upset in his UFC debut by Forrest Griffin. He holds notable career wins over Ricardo Arona, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Quinton Jackson, Alistair Overeem, and Kazuhiro Nakamura.  Following his loss to Griffin, “Shogun” underwent surgery to repair a torn knee ligament.

Liddell (21-5 MMA, 16-4 UFC) looked unstoppable after winning 7-straight fights over some of the sports best fighters between 2004 and 2007. However, he next suffered back-to-back losses to Quinton Jackson and Keith Jardine and his fighting future was in question. In December he participated in one of the top fights of 2007, defeating his rival, Wanderlei Silva, in a unanimous decision slugfest.

UFC fighter Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, his brother Murilo “Ninja” Rua, and Andre “Dida” Amade have formed a new fight team in Brazil according to a report by Ivan Canello of MMA Weekly.The new team, Universidade da Luta (UDL) or “Fight University”, already boasts 10-15 professional fighters and are actively seeking a jiu jitsu coach.

All three are former members of the famed Chute Boxe fight camp.

Both “Dida” and “Ninja” are expected back in action in March in their respective promotions while “Shogun” will next fight in the UFC in April as part of the promotion’s first-ever Canadian event.

Ninja and Shogun are the latest big name fighters to leave the Chute Boxe Academy. Other standouts that left the team this year include Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva and Andre Dida.

Murilo Rua was last seen at Cage Rage 24 where he defeated Xavier “Professor X” Foupa Pokam by rear naked choke in the second round. Meanwhile, Mauricio Rua is coming off a loss against Forrest Griffin at UFC 76.
