Lyman Good became the first-ever Bellator welterweight champion on Friday in Uncasville, Connecticut, knocking out Omar De La Cruz just 83-seconds into their Bellator XI headliner to win the promotion's 170-pound tournament and its $100,000 bonus.

Welterweight finalists Lyman Good and Omar De La Cruz successfully weighed-in on Thursday for the Bellator 170-pound tournament final and championship bout, which headlines Bellator XI on Friday in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Wilson Reis defeated Henry Martinez via unanimous decision in the final bout of the Bellator featherweight tournament opening round, while Lyman Good submitted Hector Urbina in one of three welterweight opening round bouts which took place on Friday at Bellator 2.

Shane Del Rosario vs. Jon Murphy and Erik Apple vs. Matt Makowski have been added to the official lineup for EliteXC’s next ShoXC event, which is slated for September 26th at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, California.
