MFC 22 Results: Lutter Tops MacDonald; McKee, Alessio Victorious

Travis Lutter edged hometown favorite Jason MacDonald on Friday in the main event of MFC 22, earning a unanimous decision win in the matchup of middleweight UFC veterans that capped off the HDNet-televised event at the River Cree Resort and Casino in Edmonton, Canada.

In other notable action, Antonio McKee topped Carlo Prated by unanimous decision in the MFC 22 co-main event, while John Alessio stopped Luigi Fioravanti with strikes in the third round of their featured bout.

MFC 22 Weigh-In Results: Prater Misses Weight; MacDonald and Lutter Hit Marks

Lightweight challenger Carlo Prater missed weight at Thursday’s weigh-ins for MFC 22, weighing in at 158-pounds for his 155-pound championship matchup against Antonio McKee. The bout, which co-headlines Friday’s HDNet-televised event at the River Cree Casino in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is now a three-round, non-title fight.

The rest of the 10-fight card, including headliners Jason MacDonald and Travis Lutter, successfully made weight.

Weekend Results: Shark Fights 6, Arena Rumble, and Bitetti Combat

Dave Herman needed just 60-seconds to stop Don Frye on Saturday in the main event of Shark Fights 6, forcing a referee stoppage at the one-minute mark of the headliner. Gerald Harris, a cast member on the Ultimate Fighter 7, knocked out former WEC and UFC fighter Nissen Osterneck in the co-main event to with the promotion’s middleweight title.

MFC 22 Takes Shape, and Arena Rumble Books a Few Notables

The MFC 22 headlining bout will be match up between two top grapplers, as Jason MacDonald will look to topple Travis Lutter. Also on the card, Antonio McKee will take on Carlo Prater for the MFC lightweight belt, and Luigi Fioravanti will face John Alessio.

Headlining Arena Rumble is a match up between Jason Guida and Jeremy Horn. Other notables in action on the card include Trevor Prangley, Brad Imes, Terry Martin, and Lyle Beerbohm.

MFC 21 Results: Prangley Claims Title, Lashley Chokes Out Cook

Trevor Prangley topped champion Emanuel Newton via unanimous decision in the MFC 21: Hard Knocks main event on Saturday to become the promotion's new light heavyweight champion. Also on the card, Bobby Lashley improved to 3-0 with a 24-second submission of Mike Cook and John Alessio and Marvin Eastman earned victories.
