Lightweight Josh Neer has been released by the UFC after suffering a unanimous decision loss to Gleison Tibau last Saturday at UFC 104, his second-straight loss and third in his last four fights.

Bocek (7-2) has won back-to-back fights inside the Octagon after losing 2 of his first 3 UFC matchups, topping Alvin Robinson last November and submitting David Bielkheden in the opening round of his most-recent fight in April.

Veach (11-0) remained undefeated in his UFC debut, knocking out Matt Grice in the opening round of their February fight.

The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale, which takes place at The Pearl at The Palms and airs live on Spike TV, features the final fight of the heavyweights-only season of TUF and also includes Matt Hamill vs. Jon Jones and Dennis Hallman vs. John Howard.

Mauricio "Shogun" Rua

Anderson Silva defeated Thales Leites via unanimous decision in the UFC 97 main event on Saturday in Montreal, Canada in a fight that will be remembered as one of the most uneventful in UFC history. In the co-headliner, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua likely retired Chuck Liddell with a first-round knockout.

David Bielkheden

David Bielkheden has announced he’ll return to the octagon at UFC 97 on April 18th in Montreal, Canada against Mark Bocek.

Bielkheden (13-6), who previously announced he’d return to action at UFC 96 in March, debuted in the UFC in the welterweight division but promptly dropped to lightweight after losing to Diego Sanchez at UFC 82. “The Brazilian Swede’s” 155-pound debut came at UFC 89 in October with a unanimous decision victory over Jess Liaudin.

Bocek (6-2) entered the UFC in 2007 with a 4-0 record but has since gone 2-2, dropping bouts to Frank Edgar and Mac Danzig while earning wins over Doug Evans and, most recently, Alvin Robinson. The bout will be Bocek’s second in front of his home country, previously losing to Danzig at UFC 83 in Montreal last April.

Chuck Liddell vs. Mauricio “Shogun” Rua headlines UFC 97, with middleweight champion Anderson Silva vs. Thales Leites, David Loiseau vs. Ed Herman, and Jonathan Goulet vs. Tamdan McCrory also rumored to take place at the event.

UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar

All ten UFC 91 competitors tested by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for steroids and drugs of abuse have passed their post-fight drug screenings.

The negative results were today confirmed to MMAFrenzy.com by NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer via email.

Tested by the NSAC were Randy Couture, Brock Lesnar, Kenny Florian, Dustin Hazelett, Gabriel Gonzaga, Demian Maia, Jeremy Stephens, Aaron Riley, Mark Bocek, and Matt Brown.

UFC 91 took place on November 15th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Bocek, a TKO and King of the Cage veteran, is 1-2 inside the octagon, dropping matchups with Mac Danzig and Frank Edgar while earning his lone victory over Doug Evans.

Robinson is also 1-2 in the UFC, losing contests to Kenny Florian and Nate Diaz and scoring a unanimous decision victory over Jorge Gurgel.

UFC 91 is headlined by the return of UFC heavyweight champion and hall of famer Randy Couture to the octagon to defend his title against Brock Lesnar in the UFC 91 main event. The rumored card for the pay-per-view event also includes Quinton Jackson vs. Wanderlei Silva, Kenny Florian vs. Joe Stevenson, Demian Maia vs. Nate Quarry, Dustin Hazelett vs. Tamdan McCrory, Nick Catone vs. Amir Sadollah, Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Josh Hendricks, and Jeremy Stephens vs. Rafael dos Anjos.

“I had a torn labrum in my right hip. My LCL was torn in my (right) knee. And I had a fractured left foot. The doctors kept telling me, just in case… they kept saying, ‘You have to be prepared that your career could be done.’ I had surgery in the beginning of March. I’m healed up now, back in training. Just getting back in shape,” Robinson recently told MMA Weekly. “Looks like I’ll be fighting on that card in November.”

“That card in November” happens to be UFC 91 on November 15th in Las Vegas which features the highly-anticipated return of Randy Couture against Brock Lesnar and is predicted to be the largest event in the history of the sport.

Though he will assuredly appear on the untelevised preliminary card an impressive showing could earn Robinson some air time on the pay-per-view as well as respect from the sold out live crowd.

Robinson is expected to take on Mark Bocek in the November bout.

Prior to his January loss to Diaz, Robinson topped Jorge Gurgel via unanimous decision at UFC 77 in October after dropping his UFC debut to Kenny Florian at UFC 73 in July 2007.

Bocek is also 1-2 in the UFC, losing his UFC debut to Frank Edgar before bouncing back with a unanimous decision victory over Doug Evans at UFC 79 in December. In his last bout he was defeated by “The Ultimate Fighter 6″ winner Mac Danzig via third-round submission at UFC 83 in April.
