Lyman Good became the first-ever Bellator welterweight champion on Friday in Uncasville, Connecticut, knocking out Omar De La Cruz just 83-seconds into their Bellator XI headliner to win the promotion's 170-pound tournament and its $100,000 bonus.

Welterweight finalists Lyman Good and Omar De La Cruz successfully weighed-in on Thursday for the Bellator 170-pound tournament final and championship bout, which headlines Bellator XI on Friday in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Upstart MMA promotion Bellator Fighting Championships will conclude its first season with events on June 12 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut and June 19 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Omar De La Cruz and Lyman Good advanced to the Bellator welterweight finals with victories on Friday at Bellator 7 in Chicago. In other action, Eddie Sanchez provided the promotion another highlight reel clip with a ten-second TKO while Kerry Vera and Leslie Smith engaged in an entertaining slugfest.

Weigh-ins for ShoMMA: Strikeforce Challengers 1, Bellator 7, and MFC 21: Hard Knocks took place on Thursday ahead of tonight's fight cards. Complete weigh-in results, which include notables Bobby Lashley, Trevor Prangley, and Billy Evangelista, are available after the jump.

Wilson Reis defeated Henry Martinez via unanimous decision in the final bout of the Bellator featherweight tournament opening round, while Lyman Good submitted Hector Urbina in one of three welterweight opening round bouts which took place on Friday at Bellator 2.
