Strikeforce’s December 19th is beginning to shape up, fighters already rumored for the event include Robbie Lawler, and Scott Smith. Now joining them is a proposed middleweight match up between Matt Lindland and Ronald “Jacare” Souza, and the promotional debut of Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal against an as yet unknown opponent.

Dave Herman needed just 60-seconds to stop Don Frye on Saturday in the main event of Shark Fights 6, forcing a referee stoppage at the one-minute mark of the headliner. Gerald Harris, a cast member on the Ultimate Fighter 7, knocked out former WEC and UFC fighter Nissen Osterneck in the co-main event to with the promotion’s middleweight title.

The MFC 22 headlining bout will be match up between two top grapplers, as Jason MacDonald will look to topple Travis Lutter. Also on the card, Antonio McKee will take on Carlo Prater for the MFC lightweight belt, and Luigi Fioravanti will face John Alessio.

Headlining Arena Rumble is a match up between Jason Guida and Jeremy Horn. Other notables in action on the card include Trevor Prangley, Brad Imes, Terry Martin, and Lyle Beerbohm.

Middleweights Joey Villasenor and Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos, who meet in the headliner of Friday’s Strikeforce Challengers event at the ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington, successfully made weight on Thursday along with the event’s 20 other fighters, including Tim Kennedy, Nick Thompson, Jorge Gurgel, Shayna Baszler, and Sarah Kaufman.

Lyle Beerbohm and Duane Ludwig are likely to headline Strikeforce Challengers 2 on June 19th, Kyle Dietz vs. Charlie Valencia and Eddie Wineland vs. Frank Gomez have been added to WEC 41, the undercard for "Ultimate Chaos" featuring Bobby Lashley vs. Bob Sapp has been announced, and more...

The Fight Network is reporting that Rodrigo Damm (8-2) has been tapped to replace the injured Josh Thomson and square off with Melendez (14-2) at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.

In addition to negotiations for a rematch between Mitsuhiro Ishida and Gilbert Melendez, Strikeforce is reportedly in talks with undefeated lightweight Lyle Beerbohm regarding a possible bout against Melendez this Saturday at Strikeforce: Shamrock vs. Diaz.
