The WEC officially announced today that they have scheduled WEC 44 for The Pearl at The Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is scheduled to take place on November 18th, and will be headlined by a featherweight title match between champion Mike Thomas Brown and challenger Jose Aldo.

In addition to this official bout, MMAJunkie is reporting that a bantam weight matchup between Frank Gomez and Seth Dikun has been unofficially added to the card, and FiveKnuckles says that Kyle Dietz will likely face Noah Thomas on the November 18th card.

Jens Pulver, Manny Gamburyan, WEC featherweight title challenger Urijah Faber, and 145-pound champion Mike Brown were the top earners at Sunday's WEC 41 event in Sacramento, according to figures today released by the California State Athletic Commission.

Mike Brown again got the best of Urijah Faber on Sunday at WEC 41, topping the former 145-pound title holder by unanimous decision to retain his title in the anticipated rematch which headlined the Versus-televised event at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California.
