Less than one year after Dana White said he would never fight again in the UFC, former welterweight contender Karo Parisyan is set to return to the Octagon and has agreed to face Dennis Hallman at “UFC 123: Rampage vs. Machida” on November 20 in Detroit.

In weekend MMA action, Josh Barnett, Rob McCullough, Karo Parisyan, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, John Alessio, Micah Miller, Jeff Monson, and Jeremy Horn were among the notable winners, while losers included War Machine and Kim Couture.

Upstart Australian promotion Impact Fighting Championship has confirmed additional bouts for it’s July 10 debut in Brisbane, as well as fights for it’s July 14 card in Newcastle and July 18 event in Sydney.

Just days after being released by the UFC for his post-fight sucker punch of Josh Koscheck at Saturday’s UFC 113, former welterweight contender Paul Daley is set to return to action at a July 3 Impact Fighting Championships event in Australia against an opponent to-be-determined.

Karo Parisyan has also signed with the upstart Australian promotion after failing to reach a deal with Strikeforce, and will debut on July 10 vs. Luis Dutra Jr., MMAjunkie reports.

Former UFC welterweight contender Karo Parisyan won’t resume his MMA career in Strikeforce, as negotiations between the two sides, which were first reported earlier this month, failed to produce a deal.

Parisyan (18-5) went 8-1 following a 2004 loss to Georges St-Pierre, losing only to Diego Sanchez while earning wins over the likes of Nick Diaz and Matt Serra, but has been plagued with issues following a 2008 loss to Thiago Alves.

Former UFC welterweight Karo Parisyan is in talks with Strikeforce and could debut as early as the promotion’s June 16 event in Los Angeles should he reach a deal.

Following a loss to Thiago Alves in 2008, “The Heat” has been plagued with issues, testing positive for banned painkillers following a split decision win over Dong Hyun Kim last January before withdrawing from a November matchup with Dustin Hazelett the day before the fight.

Strikeforce light heavyweight champ Gegard Mousasi is rumored to fight Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal at Strikeforce’s April event on CBS, former UFC welterweight Karo Parisyan said he expects to return to action in “the next few months,” and Carlos Condit expects to return to UFC action this spring.

Karo Parisyan has withdrawn from his UFC 106 welterweight matchup with Dustin Hazelett just two days before Saturday’s pay-per-view event in Las Vegas and will “not be fighting again in the UFC,” UFC President Dana White announced today on Twitter.

“Karo Parisyan has f***** over the UFC, the fans and his opponent again. He will not be fighting Saturday or ever again in the UFC,” wrote White. “Pulled out of the fight the day before weigh-ins again with a laundry list of excuses. Let the press ask Karo why. Let him explain.”

The UFC has officially confirmed the full fight card for UFC 106 which will take place on November 21. The event is headlined by Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin, and co-headlined by Josh Koscheck vs. Anthony Johnson.

A matchup between middleweights Kendall Grove and Jake Rosholt has been added to the preliminary card for UFC 106 on November 21 in Las Vegas, the UFC today announced.

The UFC also confirmed on Saturday two previously-reported fights, Jon Fitch vs. Ricardo Almeida and Karo Parisyan vs. Dustin Hazelett, which will be featured on the UFC 106 pay-per-view main card headlined by Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin and Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin.
