It looks like the UFC has alas wised up and officially deemed UFC 95, set for London, England, a Spike TV “International Event” as opposed to an unjustifiable pay-per-view.
Speaking of upcoming events, it was recently discovered that Jon Fitch, who battled and came up short against Georges St. Pierre just this past August, has been relegated to the “may not be broadcast” undercard of UFC 94 where he is set to take on Akihiro Gono.
Less than one day after being released by the UFC for failing to sign a video game agreement, welterweight contender Jon Fitch has reached an agreement with the promotion and will return to action at UFC 94 on January 31st against Akihiro Gono, according to MMA Rated.
“We’re going to move ahead and I’ll be back in the UFC. We’re going to sign off on the video game and I’m back.”
Recent welterweight championship challenger Jon Fitch (19-3) was released by the UFC today after refusing to sign away his lifetime video game rights to the promotion, according to MMA Mania.
Heavyweight Christian Wellisch (8-4) was also cut by the UFC after failing to sign the agreement.
