Regarded lightweight and DREAM champ Shinya Aoki earned a quick submission victory over Sengoku’s Mizuto Hirota, breaking his arm with a hammerlock in the opening-round before flipping off Hirota and the crowd before quickly leaving the ring.

In other notable MMA action, Ikuhisa Minowa upset Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou with a third-round TKO to win DREAM’s “Super Hulk” tourney and Gegard Mousasi and Alistair Overeem each earned first-round knockouts.

“Dynamite!! 2009″ was capped off by an exciting K-1 rematch between Masato and Andy Souwer, with Masato earning a decision victory in the bout billed as his last.

Mousasi, the Strikeforce light heavyweight champion and former DREAM middleweight title-holder, was submitted by Fedor with an armbar in the August 28 exhibition at M-1: Breakthrough.

Hong Man Choi and Ikuhisa Minowa will meet in the other “Super Hulk” semifinal bout at DREAM 11, while a replacement opponent will soon be announced for Sokoudjou.

The promotion also announced on Wednesday that lightweights Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante (14-3-1) and Daisuke Nakamura (20-10) would meet at the event, which will be televised in North America on HDNet.

Joe Warren vs. Bibiano Fernandes and Hiroyuki Takaya vs. Hideo Tokoro have been booked for the DREAM Featherweight Grand Prix, while Hong Man Choi vs. Ikuhisa Minowa and Gegard Mousasi vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou are set for the open weight Super Hulk tournament.

All four bouts, as well as the finale of the featherweight grand prix between the Warren-Fernandes and Takaya-Tokoro winners, are scheduled to take place at DREAM 11 on October 6 in Kanagawa, Japan.

The HDNet-televised event will feature the semifinals and finals of the promotion’s featherweight grand prix, as well as the semifinals of the “Super Hulk” open weight tournament.

Matchups have not yet been announced for the featherweight tourney, which includes Bibiano Fernandes, Joe Warren, Hiroyuki Takaya, and Hideo Tokoro, or the Super Hulk semis, which features Gegard Mousasi, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, Ikuhisa Minowa, and Hong Man Choi.

Jason “Mayhem” Miller and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza are expected to meet for a third time at the event to crown a DREAM middleweight champion.

Early in the bout, Miller connected with a kick to the top of Souza’s head while his opponent was on the ground, opening up a cut that would ultimately force the bout to come to a premature conclusion. The kick was deemed unintentional, but when the bout was eventually halted the fight was declared a no contest.

In other DREAM 9 action upsets were plentiful, as Joe Warren topped Norifumi “Kid Yamamoto by split decision in the second round of the featherweight grand prix, Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante suffered a unanimous decision loss to Tatsuya Kawajiri in a lightweight title eliminator, and Bob Sapp was submitted by Ikuhisa Minowa just over one-minute into their Super Hulk tournament matchup.
