At a press conference Tuesday in Japan, Fighting Entertainment Group, the organizers behind the &#8220;Dynamite!! 2009&#8243; New Years Eve hybrid K-1 and MMA card announced several new fights for the event.  Among the newly announced fights were several &#8220;Dream vs. Sengoku Raiden Championship&#8221; bouts, which include several well known fighters, including Norifumi &#8220;Kid&#8221; Yamamoto, Hayato &#8220;Mach&#8221; Sakurai, and Alistair Overeem.  Additionally, FEG announced another K-1 bout for the card, which will pit Ray Sefo against Yosuke Nishijima.</p>
<p>These fights join the three previously announced fights of Satoshi Ishii vs. Hidehiko Yoshida, Ikuhisa Minowa vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, and Masato vs. Andy Souwer, with more fight announcements expected to come before the event.</p>

<p>Mousasi, the Strikeforce light heavyweight champion and former DREAM middleweight title-holder, was submitted by Fedor with an armbar in the August 28 exhibition at M-1: Breakthrough.</p>
<p>Hong Man Choi and Ikuhisa Minowa will meet in the other &#8220;Super Hulk&#8221; semifinal bout at DREAM 11, while a replacement opponent will soon be announced for Sokoudjou.</p>
<p>The promotion also announced on Wednesday that lightweights Gesias &#8220;JZ&#8221; Cavalcante (14-3-1) and Daisuke Nakamura (20-10) would meet at the event, which will be televised in North America on HDNet.</p>

<p>Early in the bout, Miller connected with a kick to the top of Souza&#8217;s head while his opponent was on the ground, opening up a cut that would ultimately force the bout to come to a premature conclusion. The kick was deemed unintentional, but when the bout was eventually halted the fight was declared a no contest.</p>
<p>In other DREAM 9 action upsets were plentiful, as Joe Warren topped Norifumi &#8220;Kid Yamamoto by split decision in the second round of the featherweight grand prix, Gesias &#8220;JZ&#8221; Cavalcante suffered a unanimous decision loss to Tatsuya Kawajiri in a lightweight title eliminator, and Bob Sapp was submitted by Ikuhisa Minowa just over one-minute into their Super Hulk tournament matchup.</p>
