On the heels of Vitor Belfort's refusal to fight former DREAM middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi at any weight higher than 185-pounds, Mousasi has challenged Belfort to a catchweight bout.

Vitor Belfort speaks to Tatame on his rumored matchup with Gegard Mousasi at Affliction 3. "Now I have to see if he’ll get down to middleweight. Who defines this isn’t him. I fight at 185lbs. If they want to do this fight at 185lbs, it’s done, otherwise I see no option to go up."

Gegard Mousasi, who was victorious over Mark Hunt on Tuesday at DREAM 9, will take on Vitor Belfort at Affliction's third event on August 1st in Anaheim, California. Mousasi revealed the matchup in a post-fight interview at M-1Global.com.

A new DREAM middleweight champion failed to be crowned on Tuesday at DREAM 9, as Jason "Mayhem" Miller and Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza fought to a no contest in their headliner for the vacant title at the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan.

Fighting and Entertainment Group announced on Thursday an eight-man open weight "Super Hulk Tournament", which will begin on May 26th at the Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, Japan at DREAM 9.

DREAM middleweight grand prix winner Gegard Mousasi could square off against former PRIDE and UFC fighter Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou in a light heavyweight bout at DREAM 9 on May 26th in Japan.
