Ben Henderson was crowned the WEC’s interim lightweight champion on Saturday after earning a unanimous decision victory over Donald Cerrone in an instant classic that headlined WEC 43 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Dave Jansen, Raphael Assuncao, and Damacio Page also picked up main card wins, while Anthony Njokuani, Scott Jorgensen, Mackens Semerzier, Eddie Wineland, Charlie Valencia, and Deividas Taurosevicius were victorious on the WEC 43 prelims.

A trio of bouts have been added to the rumored lineup for WEC 43, which takes place on September 2 in Youngstown, Ohio and airs live on Versus.

Bantamweights Manny Tapia and Eddie Wineland have agreed to square off and featherweight contenders Wagnney Fabiano and Rafael Assuncao will take on WEC newcomers Erik Koch and Yves Jabouin respectively.

WEC bantamweight Eddie Wineland has been forced to withdraw from his June 7 WEC 41 bout against Frank Gomez due to a right elbow injury, according to NWI.com. "I wouldn't say this is a setback, it's more or less a disappointment," Wineland said.
