In a recent interview with Croatian website Index.hr, heavyweight Alistair Overeem disclosed his rather odd choice for a new diet: "Before I ate a lot of vegetables that are healthy but contained little energy. Now I mainly eat a horse meat, rice and protein shakes."

Fabricio Werdum has been looking for a promotion to fight under ever since being cut from the UFC after his knockout loss to Junior dos Santos last October. After getting turned down by Affliction, Werdum has finally found a home with Strikeforce.

Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem will defend his title for the first time in 2009, according to an interview with Strikeforce executive Mike Afromowitz. "We're looking to get him back pretty soon. I'd say more likely than not, you're going to see him defend his title this year," said Afromowitz.
