Again wow.
But not in the good way.
I figured I’d pop in and see whats the what before bombing out for lunch, and was a bit surprised at some of what I’ve seen posted here.
First, let me get this out of the way, in that Portland is awesome.
I’ll be posting more over in the forum area in detail about my 102 experience, but suffice to say that this town is MMA-crazy, dedicated to Couture and the rest of the Team Quest roster, and has been ready for a long time for a UFC event.
If any of you get a chance to shoot up here, it’ll be well worth your time and coin IMO, ESPECIALLY if its for an MMA event.
Now, as to some of the stuff posted specifically towards, or maybe against me, I’ll respond by basically not directly responding like for like. I tried late last night to laugh off southcakalak’s post, and that just resulted in more posts of its nature. Maybe that was my bad, maybe I’d had one too many of the fine local Irish red beers the pubs here rock out, or maybe my brain was half fried from jet lag and a 6 hour flight and the excitement of the day. Nonetheless, I should have not responded to southcakalak’s original anti-jcohl rant/post, but I messed up, and for that I apologize to Kris and the moderators.
I have a world of respect for what Kris has created here, and what Justin and fr702 moderate here, so I’m not about to start firing off posts pointing out the flaws in people’s logic, or the inconsistencies in their POV, or anything like that. MMA FrenZy is a community, and you don’t start a riot in your community over late-hour name-calling and poorly-thought out postings.
The reason MMA Frenzy is the best MMA site out there, aside from Kris and the Mods [cool band name BTW], are the POSTERS.
