The result of an October 3 matchup between UWC bantamweight champion Mike Easton and challenger Chase Beebe, originally a split decision win for Easton, has been changed to a “no decision,” according to Sherdog.

The bout, which headlined UWC 7 this past Saturday at the Partiot Center in Fairfax, Virginia, ended in controversy when Easton was declared the winner despite Beebe clearly winning at least three of the fight’s five round according to most observers.

Mike Easton retained the Ultimate Warrior Challenge bantamweight title on Saturday in the main event of UWC 7: Redemption, topping Chase Beebe in a controversial split decision that capped off the card at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia.

In the evening’s co-headliner, Pat Runez was crowned the first-ever UWC flyweight champion by edging John Dodson on the judge’s scorecards after an entertaining five-round slugfest.

Contrary to previous reports following his knockout of Forrest Griffin on Saturday at UFC 101, Anderson Silva says he won’t be relinquishing his middleweight title to remain permanently at light heavyweight and will continue to fight in both divisions.
