Stefan Struve has been tapped to fight a returning Paul Buentello on the main card of UFC 107 on December 12 in place of injured up-and-comer Todd Duffee, who withdrew from the fight last week due to an undisclosed injury.

UFC 107, which takes place at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee, is headlined by lightweight champ BJ Penn vs. Diego Sanchez and also features Cheick Kongo vs. Frank Mir and Kenny Florian vs. Clay Guida.

Heavyweight prospect Todd Duffee (6-0), who earned a UFC-record 7-second knockout of Tim Hague in August in his UFC debut, has been forced with withdraw from his UFC 107 matchup with a returning Paul Buentello due to an undisclosed injury.

Duffee confirmed the withdrawal on Tuesday with Sherdog, which also spoke to Buentello, who says Stefan Struve and Mike Russow have been proposed as potential opponents for the main card fight.

Welterweights Jon Fitch and Mike Pierce, both left without opponents due to a recent rash of injuries, have agreed to square off at UFC 107 on December 19 in Memphis, Tennessee. Fitch is coming off back-to-back wins over Akihiro Gono and Paulo Thiago, while Pierce has won six-straight, including an upset over Brock Larson in his UFC debut in September.

A knee injury has forced Thiago Alves to withdraw from his rematch with fellow welterweight contender Jon Fitch at UFC 107 on December 12, according to Fanhouse. Reports indicate Alves should be able to return early next year and the rematch is likely to be postponed to UFC 108 in January or UFC 109 in February.

A previously-unreported lightweight matchup between Shane Nelson and Matt Wiman, as well as a middleweight bout between Lucio Linhares and Rousimar Palhares originally rumored for The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale, are among the latest additions to the official fight card for UFC 107 on December 19 in Memphis, Tennessee.

On Tuesday, the UFC officially announced a pair of December cards, as the promotion heads to Las Vegas on December 5 for The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale before holding UFC 107 on December 12 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Previously-reported fights between Matt Hamill and Jon Jones as well as Frankie Edgar and Kurt Pellegrino were confirmed for The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale, while BJ Penn vs. Diego Sanchez, Frank Mir vs. Cheick Kongo, and Thiago Alves vs. Paulo Thiago were announced for UFC 107.

Undefeated welterweight prospect Johny Hendricks will return to action at UFC 107 to square off against unbeaten newcomer Ricardo Funch on December 12 in Memphis, Tennessee. UFC 107 is headlined by lightweight champ BJ Penn vs. challenger Diego Sanchez and also features, Kenny Florian vs. Clay Guida, Cheick Kongo vs. Frank Mir, and Paul Buentello vs. Todd Duffee.

Welterweights DaMarques Johnson and Edgar Garcia have agreed to square off at UFC 107 on December 12 in Memphis, Tennessee, according to MMAjunkie, which reports that bout agreements for the matchup are expected to be signed shortly.

Light heavyweight knockout artist Houston Alexander is likely to return to the UFC in December after earning his first victory in over two years at last weekend’s Adrenaline IV event near his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska.

In a recent appearance on MMAjunkie Radio, Alexander said he’s likely to fight at UFC 107 on December 19 in Memphis, Tennessee, a pay-per-view event headlined by BJ Penn vs. Diego Sanchez, but that an opponent has not yet been determined for the fight.

It stood to reason they would try to do something along those line when Emelianenko makes his Strikeforce debut, in fact UFC president Dana White had already said publicly that they had in the works a third November event to be headlined by BJ Penn vs. Diego Sanchez, and hinted that it would air on network television.

Welterweights Kevin Burns and TJ Grant are likely to square off at UFC 107 on December 12 in Memphis, Tennessee, according to MMANews.

Burns (7-3) dropped to 2-2 inside the Octagon following back-to-back losses to Anthony Johnson last December and Chris Lytle in June, while Grant suffered a decision loss to Dong Hyun Kim in July following an April victory over Ryo Chonan in his UFC debut.

A middleweight fight between Alan Belcher and Wilson Gouveia is likely to take place at UFC 107 on December 12 in Memphis, Tennessee with both fighters agreeing to the matchup and bout agreements pending to make the fight official.

Heavyweight prospect Todd Duffee was also recently added to the UFC 107 lineup, though his opponent has not yet been determined.

The lightweight bout between Kenny Florian and Clay Guida that was originally scheduled for UFC 106 in November has been moved to UFC 107 on December 12 in Memphis, TN. This news comes on the heels of the announcement that the BJ Penn vs. Diego Sanchez bout was moved to this event, as well as the postponement of the scheduled Rashad Evans vs. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson bout to a later event.
