In a semifinals rematch, CB Dollaway will take on Amir Sadollah at “The Ultimate Fighter 7″ Finale on Saturday, June 21st at The Pearl in Las Vegas, Nevada for The Ultimate Fighter 7 title.

The event will air live on Spike TV beginning at 9pm ET.

In the second semi-final bout of the tourney, Dollaway dominated Sadollah over the opening two frames with a series of takedowns, control, and strikes. In the third round it appeared to be more of the same as Dollaway again took Sadollah to the ground early but in a frantic scramble midway through the round Sadollah quickly secured a fight-ending armbar that forced Dollaway to tap out.

With both semifinals completed and Jesse Taylor and Amir Sadollah having secured their places in the final bout we witness an “Ultimate Fighter” first as Taylor is removed from the bout and released by the promotion for kicking out the window of a limousine, “terrorizing” female hotel guests, and yelling at hotel security.

With a spot in the finals again up for grabs semifinals losers Tim Credeur and CB Dollaway are invited back to the UFC complex where thay are informed that they will square off against one-another in a second-chance semifinal to fill Taylor’s now-vacant finals spot against Amir.

It’s a back-and-forth battle between Dollaway and Credur that goes to decision. Despite displaying significantly improved standup, Credeur comes out on the losing end of the unanimous decision decided in large part by Dollaway’s ability to take his opponent down.

On Saturday in Las Vegas, Dollaway will look to avenge his upset semifinals loss to Sadollah on the main card of “The Ultimate Fighter 7″ Finale.

As always, MMAFrenzy.com will have live coverage of the event this Saturday, June 21st, beginning at 7pm ET.

We quickly see both preparing for the bout in their dressing rooms. They enter the octagon and this bout is going to be underway very quickly.

CB has an edge in height, reach, and experience. This promises to be interesting.

They touch gloves and Dollaway quickly connects with a combination. Another combination and knee by CB but Amir counters with a hard kick. CB recovers and slams Amir to the ground and works from Sadollah’s guard. Amir controls him from the ground and looks for a triangle and armbar. CB works ground and pound but little is landing as Amir minimizes damage in hopes of returning to his feet. Amir continues to contros as CB attempts more ground and pound. CB attempts a slam but Amir escapes and reutrns to his feet and rocks CB. Dollaway quickly takes the fight back the ground in an attempt to recover and is again in Amir’s guard. CB appears gassed and Amir looks to take advantage but CB is able to pass to half guard. CB takes his back then attains full mount but the round concludes before any major damage is done. MMAFrenzy.com scores the round 10-9 Dollaway.

CB connects with a kick to open the second round but Amir counters with a solid combination and knee. CB countes but Amir lands another hard kick to the body that knocks CB over. They scramble and Dollaway again ends up in Amir’s guard. CB connects with some ground and pound but Amir regains control of CB and minimizes his effectiveness. Amir nearly secures an armbar but CB is able to escape back into Sadollah’s guard. Amir is cut near his eye. Dollaway connects with more ground and pound as both fighters are slowing. Calls for a standup start and the referee calls for more action. CB postures up but Amir is able to largely minimize the damage. The blood appears to be affecting Sadollah’s vision. Steve Mazzagatti restarts the fighters and Amir connects with several kicks then the fighters clinch and trade knees. Amir again connects but CB secures another takedown into his guard before the round concludes. MMAFrenzy.com scores the round 10-9 Dollaway.

After both fighters are patched up between rounds they touch gloves and the final round is underway. Amir lands a solid combination and knee to the body but CB clinches. Amir, however, is able to stave off the takedown and remain on his feet through several attempts but Dollaway is eventually successful in taking him to the ground. CB quickly takes Amir’s back and looks for a rear naked choke but Amir is able to scramble away though CB remains on top in north-south before going back into Amir’s guard. A frantic scramble ensues and Sadollah secures a fight-ending armbar to secure his spot in The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finals against Jesse Taylor.

“Rampage” and Dollaway both discuss their disappointment with the upset loss before the attention shifts back to Sadollah, who has a serious cut under his eye stitched up.

UFC President Dana White comments that Taylor needs to round out his game to take on Sadollah, who he feels will only improve before the finale. Taylor says that the feeling of being in the finals is going to “hit him tonight”.

After the taping of the show concludes White treats the fighters out to a night on the town but asks them to be respectful as Las Vegas is the promotion’s hometown. After the first night, four or five fighters stay an additional night and that is when trouble set in at the Palace Station hotel.

After the break it’s revealed that Jesse Taylor and a couple of other fighters returned to the hotel at 3am via limosine and once they arrived Taylor kicked out the limousine window, entered the hotel and “terrorized” female guests, then, when approached by hotel security, Taylor proclaimed “I’m a UFC fighter”.

White calls in the coaches and shows them the video and tells them of Taylor’s actions. Both are disappointed in Taylor and Rampage and White concur that he would not be a good representative of the show, the promotion, or the sport.

Taylor is called in by White and is rightfully torn-apart. White tells Taylor that his actions over the past two days were unacceptable and says though he is physically prepared to fight he is not mentally or emotionally prepared. White dismisses White from the finals and the promotion and Taylor tearfully discusses his departure from the show and blowing the biggest shot of his career.

Griffin says he likes Taylor as a fighter and a person but that he isn’t in a position to pass judgment as he isn’t perfect and has made mistakes in the past.

The focus quickly shifts to who will replace Taylor in the finals and Dana White says they made the best decision they could on short notice. A plane is shown landing and both losing semi-finalists CB Dollaway and Tim Credeur arrive at the UFC facilities. Dana White and the coaches meet with the fighters and reveal that Taylor has been removed from the finals and that Dollaway and Credeur will fight one-another for the vacant finals spot.

Three weeks pass and Amir is called back by the UFC and news of Taylor’s departure and the bout between Credeur and Dollaway is delivered to the finalist by White.

After a brief glimpse of their backstage preparation CB and Tim enter the octagon to clash for second-chance semifinal.

They touch gloves and we’re underway. They trade big combinations to open up the fight. Dollaway connects. Tim counters with a flurry. More back-and-forth combinations. Leg kick by CB. Kick by Credeur misses and CB fires another leg kick that connects. More kicks by CB. Overhand by Creduer starts another good combo. Body shots by Tim followed by a head kick that misses. Another hard combination by Tim followed by a body kick by CB. Credeur stuns Dollaway and he falls to the mat but they scramble and Dollaway ends up in Tim’s guard briefly before they both return to their feet. Both connect with hard striked then CB secures a takedown just before the end of the round. MMAFrenzy.com scores the round 10-9 Credeur.

They again touch gloves to start round two and Tim throws a head kick that misses. Dollaway shoots and they briefly go to the mat but are quickly back on their feet. Dollaway now misses on a head kick. CB lands a hard right that knocks Credeur to the mat. CB looks to move into guard but Tim keeps his distance with kicks. Tim pops back to his feet, eating a few punches in the process. CB returns to the he leg kicks then lands a good combination followed by a series of knees and punches that nearly finishes Credeur but he narrowly survives and counters with punches of his own. Tim connects with and extended series of punches to CB but Dollaway fight back with strikes of his own. Both continue to connect with sporadic combinations before CB successfully shoots for a takedown, landing in Credeur’s guard. They scramble but return to their original position and Tim controls Dollaway’s posture for the remainder of the round. MMAFrenzy.com scores the round 10-9 Dollaway.

CB connects with a solid combination to open the final round then tosses Credeur to the ground but he’s unable to keep him there and Tim returns to his feet. CB lands a kick to the body. Good body kick by Tim followed by more kicks by CB. Another hard leg kick by Credeur. Punches are missing but kicks are connecting earlier in round three. More body kicks by CB set up a takedown. Credeur controls Dollaway’s posture early, significantly limiting his effectiveness. He’s again able to scramble back to his feet. Tim connects with a high kick but CB again takes him to the mat. Credeur keeps his distance by carefully using well-placed kicks. He returns to his feet. Kick by CB is nearly caught. Tim lands a three-punch combination then CB shoots in and gets another takedown, again landing in Tim’s guard. The pair tussle on the ground, though nothing of note connects before the bout concludes. MMAFrenzy.com scores the round 10-9 Dollaway.

CB Dollaway defeats Tim Credeur via unanimous decision.

The Ultimate Fighter 7 tournament final is now, finally, set and it’s a rematch between Amir Sadollah and CB Dollaway.

Spike TV has issued the following announcement regarding tonight’s final episode:

In one of the most stunning twists in the history of the Ultimate Fighter, for the first time, a gladiator who endured through six weeks of living in seclusion with fifteen other mixed martial artists in the Las Vegas desert, and defeated three of his housemates for the right to fight for a guaranteed six figure contract with the UFC, will not be participating in the show’s live finale.

Viewers can find out what the ousted fighter has to say for himself exclusively at Spike.com, where a video interview will post at Wednesday, June 18th at 11:30pm EST.

Based on the release the eliminated fighter will be Jesse Taylor, CB Dollaway, or Amir Sadollah. Taylor qualified for the final bout with a victory on last week’s episode while Dollaway and Sadollah clash on tonight’s episode in a battle for remaining finals spot.

A video of the incident depicting someone breaking out the window of a limosine has been shown during previews for tonight’s final episode. Though the circumstances surrounding the incident are currently unknown, everything should become clear following tonight’s episode and subsequent interview with the ousted fighter.

Taylor took Creduer, a jiu jitsu black belt, down often throughout the lopsided three round bout and never provided him an opening he could exploit to finish the fight, using superior positioning and peppering punches and elbows to dominate his opponent. After three one-sided rounds the judges rendered scores of 30-27, 30-26, and 30-26, declaring Taylor the unanimous decision winner.

With his spot in the finale now secure, Taylor will face the winner of next week’s bout between CB Dollaway and Amir Sadollah on June 21st at The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale in Las Vegas.

Also last night, in the traditional coaches challenge Forrest Griffin and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson went head-to-head in a game of H.O.R.S.E. with $10,000 on the line for the winning coach as well as $2,000 for each of his fighters. Griffin, a former basketball player, dominated Jackson, punctuating the trouncing with a competition-ending dunk.

As the episode concludes a preview of next week’s final episode is shown and it promises to be the “most shocking” ending in the history of the reality series. A video is shown to UFC President Dana White and both coaches that shows the window of a limosine being broken out. “He’s out of the finale and out of the UFC,” said White.

Stop by MMAFrenzy.com next week for complete details on the final episode including which fighter is out of the finale and the UFC.

Two quarterfinal bouts are on tap this week as four of Team Forrest’s six remaining fighters go head-to-head for their spot in the semis. Jesse Taylor faces Dante Rivera and close friends Amir Sadollah and Matt Brown go toe-to-toe this week on “The Ultimate Fighter 7″.

The first order of business is determining which two of Forrest Griffin’s fighters will be cornered by opposing coach Quinton Jackson. Griffin refuses to make a decision so Dana White flips a coin and Griffin will corner Taylor and Sadollah while Rivera and Brown temporarily head to Team Rampage.

After a bit of weight cutting antics from Taylor, who ate junk food leading up to the bout then cut weight by playing ping pong in a plastic suit, the first bout commences and its Taylor versus Rivera.

Taylor takes Rivera down from the outset of the bout and doesn’t let him up for nearly the entire duration, ground and pounding his way to a unanimous decision victory and a spot in the semifinals.

We quickly switch gears to the second bout as friends Amir Sadollah and Matt Brown square off in the octagon. Brown fires fast and furious from the onset but Sadollah’s chin is superb and he weathers the onslaught before returning with an offensive assault of his own. The furious pace continues for the remainder of the opening round but quickly resumes in the second. After some more standup offense by both fighters Sadollah is able to take his opponent to the ground and transitions to the mount position. Sadollah is able to ground and pound briefly from the dominant position but Brown escapes. In the scramble Sadollah secures a fight-ending triangle choke that forces the more experienced Brown to tap. An impressive offensive showing by Sadollah and Brown but it’s Sadollah moving on to the semis.

Next week it’s Dan Cramer versus Tim Credeur and Cale Yarbrough versus CB Dollaway in the final quarterfinal bouts.

This week’s episode kicks off with a recap of last week’s controversial match between Cale Yarbrough and Patrick Schultz. While the consensus opinion on the show was that Yarbrough and Schultlz split the rounds and were headed to a third and decisive round, this week we learn that Yarbrough won the second round 10-8 on the judge’s scorecards to earn a decision victory.

Shortly after the recap we see the aftermath of coach Forrest Griffin pounding his way through the dressing room door and shadow boxing as though he’s going to go after opposing coach and UFC light heavyweight champ Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. Miffed at Jackson’s remarks both about the controversial fight and their upcoming title bout as well as Schultz’s post-fight comments, Forrest appears to be looking for a fight but it’s not to be had as Schultz, tempers now cooled, appologizes to the opposing coach and things are back to normal, at least for now.

In the final opening round bout of the season Team Rampage’s top pick, CB Dollaway, is set to clash with Team Forrest’s Nick Klein. With Dollaway the clear favorite, Klein copes with his underdog status and prepares with his team in hopes of knocking the other team’s top pick out of the tourney early.

Griffin arrives for one of the training sessions with a handheld “net gun” in tow. Heeding the advice of his team, Griffin nets an unsuspecting Jackson in the UFC octagon, who, as expected, takes the prank in stride. “My family saw me get netted on national TV,” said Jackson. “I can’t let that happen.”

Back to the training sessions, Jackson expectedly states that he feels CB will win the upcoming bout but still has advice to offer the wrestler. Dollaway throws a playful kick at the UFC champ during their training sessions and “Rampage” decides its time to test his top pick. “Rampage” gets the opening takedown but they immediately scramble and Dollaway quickly forces the tapout from Jackson.

Focus then switches back on Nick Klein’s preparations with Team Forrest. Klein’s gameplan is to put CB on his back.

After both fighters successfully weigh-in UFC President Dana White and Jackson both repeat that they feel CB is more skilled and should win the impending bout.

The action is soon underway and Klein takes the fight to the mat and is briefly in top position before Dollaway uses his superior wrestling to take back the top spot. They continue to scramble on the ground with CB peppering ground and pound whenever he can. During one of the transitions Klein nearly secures a kneebar but Dollaway is able to escape the close call. The pair tussle for the the top spot with Klein attempting further submissions and Dollaway continuing with the sporadic ground and pound. Now in Klein’s guard, CB is able to land some solid ground and pound before the opening round concludes. Dolloway takes the first round 10-9.

Round two starts with some light standup, though nothing major connects. Against the wished of his coaches, Klein takes the fight back the ground and ends up on his back. Dollaway continues to work ground and pound from Klein’s guard and after a brief scramble they re-secure their positions. Some more ground and pound from CB prompts Klein to attempt to scramble away but Dollaway secures a fight ending guillotine in the chaos that forces Klein to tap out and moves Dollaway into the second round of the middleweight tournament.

The consensus opinion after the fight is that Klein was a tougher opponent than most gave him credit for but in the end it’s the favorite, CB Dollaway, moving on in the competition.

Following the fight, Forrest fulfills his promise to Amir Sadollah and allows Sadollah to cut his hair in any way he likes. A buzz cut later and his bet now paid in full, Griffin is promptly doused by Jackson as retalitaion for the earlier netting.

With the antics for the episode now behind us White meets with Griffin and Jackson to discuss the second round matchups. They conclude it’s best to ask the fighters directly who they want to face and after sit down meetings with all 8 remaining fighters the second round matchups are finalized.

TUF 7 Quarterfinal Bouts

Amir Sadollah vs. Matt Brown

Dan Cramer vs. Tim Credeur

CB Dollaway vs. Cale Yarbrough

With Team Forrest teammates Jesse Taylor and Dante Rivera as well as Amir Sadollah and Matt Brown set to clash in quarterfinal bouts, the teams are realligned next week and two of Team Forrest’s fighters are sent to Team Rampage to prepare for their fights. Taylor takes on Rivera and Sadollah faces Brown next week on The Ultimate Fighter 7.

For the first time this season Team Rampage has control and selects Gerald Harris (7-2) to take on Team Forrest’s Amir Sadollah (0-0).

The fight quickly commences and Harris gets the early advantage with a takedown. Harris controls the pace in the opening frame, controlling his opponent and using several slams and some ground and pound to take to first round.

In the second round it’s much of the same from Harris but at the midway point Sadollah starts to connect and lands a knee to the head that drops Harris. Sadollah pounces and lands a combination on his downed opponent forcing the referee stoppage. Harris immediately protests the decision, claiming he wasn’t knocked out, but it’s too little too late as the referee’s decision stands.

With Team Forrest in control yet again they select Cale Yarbrough (0-0) to face Team Rampage’s Patrick Schultz (7-1-1), who was eliminated from the competition in the round of 32 but invited back as a replacement for Paul Bradley.

It’s a standup battle in the opening round with Schultz seemingly having the upper hand after connecting with a string of rights to likely take the round on the judge’s scorecards. Yarbrough, though, takes round two with a ground and pound assault and we appear destined for a third and decisive round. The coaches, though, express surprise when they learn that the judges have rendered a decision. After some banter over how they declared a winner with each round seemingly having a clear cut winner on the scorecards, the winner is announced and it’s Cale Yarbrough defeating Patrick Schultz via majoirity decision

The lopsided battle wages on as Team Forrest goes up 6-1 in the competition. Next week it’s Team Rampage’s top pick, CB Dollaway, against Team Forrest’s Nick Klein in the final opening round bout.
