Overall, “The Ultimate Fighter 7″ finale earned a 1.4 household rating, a 1.9 in Men 18-49, a 1.4 in Persons 18-49, a 2.3 in Men 18-34, and an average audience of 2.0 million viewers.

In the finale, Amir Sadollah from Team Forrest completed his improbable run through the series by submitting CB Dollaway from Team Rampage for a second time this season to win the competition and earn a UFC contract. A fighter with no professional bouts when he joined the show, Sadollah earned a legion of fans and a ton of respect as he defeated Steve Byrnes, Gerald Harris, Matt Brown, and Dollaway to earn a shot in the final. Even though Dollaway seemed to be in control of the fight, Sadollah pulled victory from the jaws of defeat, locking Dollaway in an armbar at 3:02 of the opening round.

In the night’s main event, Kendall Grove dominated former UFC middleweight champion, Evan Tanner, en route to a three-round decision victory. The much-needed victory puts Grove, “The Ultimate Fighter 3″ champ, back on the path for a potential title shot. In the co-feature, another former “Ultimate Fighter” victor, Diego Sanchez (season 1) won a hard fought victory via TKO over Luigi Fioravanti.

According to UFC.com, Credeur informed the NSAC at the weigh-ins that he had been using the prescription drug but had stopped using it five days ago. A pre-fight drug test completed on Saturday revealed trace amounts of the drug, which is prescribed to treat ADHD and narcolepsy, were still presesent.

“[Adderall] acts as a cardio-vascular restrictor and that’s the main reason it’s banned because it can cause athletes to have a cardiac episode with the stress they’re under when they’re in an athletic competition. Secondly, it can have a performance-enhancing effect as well,” NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer told UFC.com. “Unfortunately, the drug was still in his system and he’s still positive, so he was unable to get cleared to fight. “It should be out of his system in a few days and hopefully they’ll find another fight for him.”

No disciplinary action, in the form of fines and/or suspension, will be taken by the NSAC because Credeur alerted them of his use of the drug before the bout.

The fight may be rescheduled for July 19th’s UFC Fight Night 14 Spike TV event at the same venue.
