Santos (8-1), who’s expected to meet top contender Marloes Coenen on the card, won her title in August with a first-round TKO of Gina Carano, her eighth-straight win since dropping her professional debut in 2005.

Walker (0-0), a 47-year-old former Heisman Trophy winner who signed with Strikeforce in September, is a sixth-degree black belt in tae kwon do who has been training with American Kickboxing Academy in preparation for his MMA debut against an opponent to-be-announced.

“Cyborg” (8-1) won the title with a first-round knockout of Gina Carano in August, her seventh-straight win, while Coenen (17-3) won her Strikeforce debut on Saturday with a first-round submission of Roxanne Modafferi.

“Cyborg”-Coenen is the first rumored bout for the card, which is expected to air live on Showtime.

The Russian heavyweight underwent a successful surgery Tuesday in Los Angeles to correct a dislocated thumb in his left hand and will have a half cast removed in 4-6 weeks….the fighter’s reps said two pins were placed in Emelianenko’s hand to correct the dislocation, and that the bone had not fractured nor broken through the skin as is possible with this type of injury.

Emelianenko also said that his nose was not fractured, as was earlier suspected, following Roger’s first punch…Emelianenko said he planned to return to training, sans striking, upon his return to Russia later this week. M-1 officials said Emelianenko could headline his second co-promoted Strikeforce card in the first quarter of 2010.

“[The hand injury] could’ve been from that blow when he had Brett on the mat at the end,” Coker today told the LA Times. “We’re hearing he could be out for four to six months.”

Emelianenko had been likely to next fight Fabricio Werdum, who also won on Saturday’s card over former EliteXC champ Antonio Silva, though a matchup between Werdum and Strikeforce title-holder Alistair Overeem could now take place with Fedor sidelined with Emelianenko then fighting the winner in mid-2010.

“CBS would be out of their mind to put that rinky-dink [Strikeforce] . . . on the air again . . . and without that backing, [promoters] won’t have the money to pay [Emelianenko].

The guy just got his face smashed in by Brett Rogers. Do you know what Brock or [UFC heavyweights] Frank Mir and Cain Velasquez would do to Brett Rogers? It’s time to bring this guy [Fedor] in, to see Brock Lesnar smash his head.”

Despite White’s disappointment in the card, “Fedor vs. Rogers” peaked with nearly 5.5 million viewers and both Strikeforce and CBS have gone on the record to say they’re satisfied and encouraged by the figures.

Britt (9-3) defeated Ryan Jimmo in the opening round on TUF 8, but a broken hand suffered in the win forced him off the show. After going 1-1 following his appearance on the UFC reality series, “The Juggernaut” participated in Vendetta FC’s one night tournament in September, where he advanced to the finals with back-to-back wins before losing to Rodney Wallace.

Lighty (5-0), who trains at The Pit alongside Chuck Liddell, improved to 5-0 in August with a first-round knockout of Mike Cook in his Strikeforce debut.

“Evolution,” which airs live on Showtime from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California, features Cung Le vs. Scott Smith and Matt Lindland vs. Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza as well as Robbie Lawler and the debut of Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal.
