All six fighters scheduled to be in action at Strikeforce’s CBS-televised event on April 17 in Nashville took part in an open workout on Wednesday in Hollywood, California.

The open workout featured middleweight champion Jake Shields and challenger Dan Henderson, who meet in the “Nashville” headliner, as well as lightweight title-holder Gilbert Melendez, Shinya Aoki, light heavyweight champ Gegard Mousasi, and Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal.

The UFC has posted before and after photos of fighters from Saturday’s “WEC 47: Bowles vs. Cruz” event, including newly-crowned champ Dominick Cruz, former title-holder Miguel Torres (pictured), Jens Pulver, Javier Vasquez, and more.

Former bantamweight champion Brian Bowles suffered a broken hand with his first punch in an unsuccessful title defense against Dominick Cruz, which headlined Saturday’s WEC 47, while former title-holder Miguel Torres was handed his second-straight loss by Joseph Benavidez, who gashed him open in the second round before submitting him with a guillotine.

As we reported on Tuesday, Martin Kampmann was forced to withdraw from his matchup with Ben Saunders scheduled for UFC 111 on March 27 in Neward due to a cut over his eye. Though previous reports confirmed it was suffered in training and required stitches, Kampman today posted a picture of the gash on Twitter and it is nasty. Check out the pic after the jump…

Fighter weigh-ins for Saturday’s “Strikeforce: Miami” event were held Friday at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida, the same venue which hosts tonight’s Showtime-televised event, and all of the card’s notable fighters successfully made weight.
