Kendall Grove

Middleweights Kendall Grove (10-5) and Ricardo Almeida (10-3) have agreed to square off at UFC 101 on August 8th at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Fight Hype was first to report the 185-pound matchup.

UFC 101 is rumored to be headlined by UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn against challenger Kenny Florian, with Forrest Griffin vs. Thiago Silva and Brandon Vera vs. Matt Hamill also expected on the card.

Mike Aina

Strikeforce has announced that lightweights Billy Evangelista (9-0) and Mike Aina (11-6-1) will meet in the main event of the first-ever ShoMMA: Strikeforce Challengers event on May 15th at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.

The promotion also confirmed that Kim Couture (1-0) will return to action at the event against an opponent to-be-announced.

Chris Leben

Middleweight Chris Leben will return to action for the first time since testing positive for steroids last October when he takes on Jake Rosholt at UFC 102 on August 29th in Portland, Oregon.

MMA Junkie first reported the bout on Monday, confirming that the fighters had agreed to the matchup and are in the process of finalizing the fight.

After suffering a unanimous decision loss to Michael Bisping at UFC 89, Leben (18-5) tested positive for the banned steroid Stanozolol and was suspended by the UFC for nine months. He had previously won back-to-back fights over Alessio Sakara and Terry Martin.

Rosholt (5-1), a former collegiate wrestler and previously undefeated prospect, joined the UFC in February following his successful debut in the WEC over Nissen Osterneck, but suffered a first-round submission loss to Dan Miller in his debut.

Tamdan McCrory

Welterweights John Howard (11-4) and Tamdan McCrory (11-2) have signed bout agreements to fight at UFC 101, MMA Junkie reports.

Howard has won four-straight contests, most-recently defeating Chris Wilson in January in his UFC debut.

McCrory last fought in March, defeating Ryan Madigan at UFC 96 via first-round TKO.

UFC 101 takes place on August 8th at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and features BJ Penn vs. Kenny Florian and Forrest Griffin vs. Thiago Silva.

Amir Sadollah

Amir Sadollah (1-0) and Johny Hendricks (5-0) have verbally agreed to meet at UFC 101 on August 8th in Philadelphia, according to MMA Junkie.

Fighting for just the second time in his professional career, the bout will be the first for Sadollah since winning the middleweight tournament on The Ultimate Fighter 7 last June and his first in the 170-pound welterweight division.

Hendricks will make the jump to the UFC after compiling a 2-0 record in the WEC’s welterweight division, most-recently defeating Alex Serdyukov in March.

Jon Koppenhaver

Virginia-based Ultimate Warrior Challenge on Monday announced that former UFC fighter Jon “War Machine” Koppenhaver will square off with Reshad Woods in a 175-pound catchweight bout at UWC 6: Capital Punishment.

UWC 6 is slated to take place on April 25th at the George Masion University Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia and is co-headlined by Mike Easton vs. Josh Ferguson and Jamal Patterson vs. Ryan Jimmo.

Rodrigo Damm

On the heels of reports that Lyle Beerbohm and Mitsuhiro Ishida were under consideration to fight Gilbert Melendez on Saturday at Strikeforce: Shamrock vs. Diaz, The Fight Network is reporting that Rodrigo Damm (8-2) has been tapped to replace the injured Josh Thomson and square off with Melendez (14-2) at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.

Frank Shamrock vs. Nick Diaz will headline the Showtime-broadcast event while Melendez-Damm is expected to co-headline the card.

Lyle Beerbohm

In addition to negotiations for a rematch between Mitsuhiro Ishida and Gilbert Melendez, Strikeforce is reportedly in talks with undefeated lightweight Lyle Beerbohm regarding a possible bout against Melendez this Saturday at Strikeforce: Shamrock vs. Diaz.

Melendez was originally booked to rematch Strikeforce lightweight champion Josh Thomson, but Thomson was recently forced out of the contest due to a broken leg. The promotion has been seeking a replacement for nearly a week but has not yet secured a fighter to square of with Melendez on April 11th at the HP Pavillion in San Jose, California.

No bouts have yet been confirmed for the event.

Donald Cerrone

WEC lightweight contenders Donald Cerrone and Richard Crunkilton will square off at WEC 41 on June 7th in Sacramento, California.

Cerrone (9-1) last fought in January, losing via split decision to Jamie Varner while Crunkilton (16-2) has not fought since last March when he defeated Sergio Gomez via unanimous decision at WEC 33.
