At Thursday’s UFC 104 press conference in Los Angeles, UFC President Dana White said contract negotiations with free agent middleweight contender Dan Henderson broke down as Henderson sought to be the highest paid fighter in the promotion.

“We’re at a stalemate right now. The money that [Henderson] is asking for would make him by far the highest-paid guy in the UFC,” said White.

DREAM recently announced additions and changes to the fight card its October 25 DREAM 12 event, including Kazushi Sakuraba replacing Melvin Manhoef against Zelg Galesic and welterweight champ Marius Zaromskis’ return to action in a non-title bout against Myeon Ho Bae.

After an injury forced Ricardo Almeida to withdraw from their scheduled UFC 106 fight, Jon Fitch is now expected to rematch Thiago Alves at UFC 107 on December 19 in Memphis, Tennessee, according to MMAjunkie, which reports that the welterweight matchup is in the works, while Alves’ original UFC 107 opponent, Paulo Thiago, will be booked for another bout.

In their first meeting at UFC Fight Night 5 in mid-2006, Fitch earned a second-round technical knockout of Alves.

Ricardo Almeida has been forced to withdraw from his UFC 106 welterweight matchup with Jon Fitch after “blowing out his knee” and the bout has been scratched from the November 21 pay-per-view card in Las Vegas.

Fitch announced the news on Twitter earlier today, adding that he’d be getting “a bigger better fight” on a future card instead, but was unable to disclose his new opponent.

Welterweights Mike Pyle and Jake Ellenberger will square off on the UFC 108 preliminary card on January 2 in Las Vegas. Pyle earned his first UFC win over Chris Wilson in September, while Ellenberger dropped a hard-fought decision to Carlos Condit last month.

Former WEC featherweight and bantamweight contender and recent Strikeforce signee Jeff Curran will make his Strikeforce debut against Sam Theo on the undercard of “Fedor vs. Rogers” on November 7. The CBS-televised event takes place at Hoffman Estates, Illinois near Chicago and is headlined by Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brett Rogers.

Lightweights Rafael dos Anjos and Kyle Bradley are slated to meet on the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night 20 on January 11 in Fairfax, Virginia. Both fighters back their UFC careers with back-to-back losses but recently earned their first wins inside the Octagon, with dos Anjos topping Rob Emerson in September while Bradley knocked out Phillipe Nover in May.

Middleweights Mark Munoz and Ryan Jensen have signed to meet at UFC 108 on January 2 in Las Vegas, according to MMAjunkie. Munoz (6-1) is coming off a win over Nick Catone in August in his 185-pound debut, while Jensen (14-5) notched his first UFC victory in September with a first-round submission of Steve Steinbeiss.

Undefeated heavyweight prospect Rolles Gracie has signed with the UFC and is expected to make his Octagon debut against Mustapha Al-Turk at UFC 109 on February 6 in Las Vegas, according to MMA Weekly. Gracie

Lightweights Donald Cerrone and Ed Ratcliff have agreed to square off at WEC 45 on December 19 in Las Vegas, according to Sherdog, in what is expected to be the co-main event of the Versus-televised card. The matchup is the first rumored for WEC 45, which is expected to take place at The Joint at The Hard Rock.

Lightweight contender Gray Maynard and The Ultimate Fighter 5 winner Nate Diaz will meet in the main event of UFC Fight Night 20 on January 11 in Fairfax, Virginia, Diaz’s camp announced on Tuesday. The matchup is a rematch from The Ultimate Fighter 5 semifinals, when Diaz submitted Maynard with a guillotine choke in the second-round of the bout.

Lightweight fighter, Chris Horodecki is expected to sign with the WEC very soon. Jeff Curran has recently signed a contract with Strikeforce. Middleweight Robbie Lawler is expecting a December return to action in Strikeforce.

Bellator Fighting Championships today announced a broadcast deal for its second and third seasons that will see the promotion’s events air live on Fox Sports Net, followed by highlight shows on NBC and Telemundo.

“Since our launch earlier this year, there has been an overwhelming demand from MMA fans nationwide for us to broadcast our events live and through a widely available platform,” Bellator CEO/Founder Bjorn Rebney said. “We are thrilled to have signed this groundbreaking agreement with FOX Sports Net, NBC and Telemundo, which will bring our unique and exciting brand of tournament-based MMA events to a dramatically expanded audience of both English- and Spanish-speaking fans.”

Strikeforce heavyweight champ Alistair Overeem, who has yet to fight again for the promotion since winning the title in November 2007, returned to MMA action overseas over the weekend, dominating Tony Sylvester at Ultimate Glory 11 in Amsterdam, Netherlands before finishing the fight with a guillotine choke in just 83-seconds. Overeem will fight again this weekend at DREAM 12 against James Thomson before he’s expected to return to Strikeforce to defend the title.
