All six fighters scheduled to be in action at Strikeforce’s CBS-televised event on April 17 in Nashville took part in an open workout on Wednesday in Hollywood, California.
The open workout featured middleweight champion Jake Shields and challenger Dan Henderson, who meet in the “Nashville” headliner, as well as lightweight title-holder Gilbert Melendez, Shinya Aoki, light heavyweight champ Gegard Mousasi, and Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal.

UFC 113 is headlined by a rematch between light heavyweight champ Lyoto Machida and challenger Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, and also features Josh Koscheck vs. Paul Daley and Kimbo Slice vs. Matt Mitrione.

Read More »Bellator today finalized the roster for its upcoming, season two lightweight tournament with the addition of Pat Curran, the cousin of former WEC featherweight and bantamweight contender Jeff Curran, who also recently signed with the upstart promotion.
The 155-pound tournament, which also includes UFC veteran Roger Huerta, begins at Bellator’s second season debut on April 8. Opening round matchups are slated to be announced in the coming days.
Read More »Following conflicting reports that their upcoming matchup may be off, Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz, who serve as opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter 11, both recently confirmed on Twitter that the bout is still on. Liddell-Ortiz was expected to headline UFC 115 on June 12 in Vancouver, but Ortiz was recently hospitalized with a “bad flu” and it’s not yet known if the illness could delay the matchup.
