A matchup between Renzo Gracie and Matt Hughes, for Gracie’s UFC debut which was previously rumored for UFC 109 and then later reported as possibly postponed will not be taking place. Instead Gracie will face a different, as yet unnamed opponent, at an as yet unnamed time for his promotional debut

The already postponed middleweight title bout between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort has a new target date. The matchup is now targeted to headline the February 6 UFC 109 card.

World Victory Road, the promotion behind the “Sengoku” titled fight events has reportedly canceled it’s scheduled New Years Event. The event would have featured the replacement of the name “Sengoku” with “Sengoku Raiden Championships” for the MMA events, and gone head to head with FEG’s “Dynamite!!2009″ New Years Eve event. Instead it appears that WVR will be teaming up with FEG to promote Dynamite!!2009,

The UFC 105 pre fight press conference was held today at 8am in Manchester, England. Headliners Randy Couture and Brandon Vera were present, as well as hometown fighter Michael Bisping and his opponent Dennis Kang.

Another bout has been rumored for UFC 109 which is scheduled for February 6, 2010 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. A match up featuring former UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes against veteran MMA fighter Renzo Gracie. According to a report from

The UFC has officially confirmed the full fight card for UFC 106 which will take place on November 21. The event is headlined by Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin, and co-headlined by Josh Koscheck vs. Anthony Johnson.

Colorado based promotion, Ring of Fire, is set to make its return on December 4 at the Magness arena in Denver, Colorado. Ring of Fire 36: Demolition will be headlined by match up between former “The Ultimate Fighter” competitors Vinny Magalhaes and Mike Nickels. The two headliners will be joined by several other former UFC, Strikeforce, and K-1 competitors.

The WEC announced today via it’s official Twitter page that Jamie Varner would defend his lightweight belt against interim lightweight champion Benson Henderson at WEC 46 on January 10. The event is scheduled for the Arco Arena in Sacramento California.

Strikeforce’s December 19th is beginning to shape up, fighters already rumored for the event include Robbie Lawler, and Scott Smith. Now joining them is a proposed middleweight match up between Matt Lindland and Ronald “Jacare” Souza, and the promotional debut of Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal against an as yet unknown opponent.
