UFC 100 Sells Out in Record Time
PRESS RELEASE; Las Vegas, NV (USA) – Tickets for UFC 100 are SOLD OUT. The historic UFC 100 event, with three blockbuster fights already confirmed, received a massive response from UFC Fight Club and Newsletter members, creating a sellout in record time.
The Saturday, July 11 event, live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center, will be shown on pay-per-view in the U.S. on iN DEMAND, DIRECTV, DISH Network and TVN, and in Canada on BellTV, Shaw Communications and Viewer’s Choice Canada. Suggested retail price is $44.95 for standard definition or high-definition broadcasts (where available).
“I started hearing about UFC 100 around UFC 90. I am blown away by how excited fans were for this event,” said Dana White, UFC President. “So I made sure to stack this card with the greatest fights and greatest fighters in the world, and keep ticket prices consistent with our other big events. Once again, our fans responded with a record sellout. This is another great milestone for the UFC, and July 11 is going to be an amazing event.”
After an epic turnout from the April 9 Internet presale for UFC Fight Club fans, the majority of the seats were sold by 3pm ET, with the official sellout taking place today during the UFC Newsletter presale. The tickets prices were: $1,000, $750, $500, $300, $200 and $100.
In the UFC 100 main event, the undisputed UFC Heavyweight Championship will be decided when reigning titleholder Brock Lesnar faces interim champion Frank Mir in one of the most highly anticipated rematches in heavyweight history.
The co-featured bout of the evening will see UFC Welterweight Champion Georges “Rush” St-Pierre put his title on the line against feared striker Thiago “Pitbull” Alves, a man many believe has the style and size to dethrone the seemingly unbeatable champion.
And rounding out the trio of superfights is a pivotal middleweight matchup pitting the coaches of the ninth season of The Ultimate Fighter®, Dan Henderson and Michael “The Count” Bisping, against each other in a bout that will push the winner even closer to a 185-pound title shot.
UFC fans who want to be a part of the historic UFC 100 event can still take part in UFC Fan Expo, a two-day fan exposition of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) activities starting Friday, July 10th and leading right up to the start of the fights Saturday, July 11th. UFC Fan Expo will take place inside the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, and will be the first event of its kind for UFC fans.
Among the UFC Fan Expo two-day roster of activities will be meet and greets with legendary UFC and WEC fighters, MMA demonstrations, fan-inspired special events, training and development sessions, and other exciting opportunities and entertainment. All the UFC Fan Expo activities will be planned in conjunction with UFC 100, including the free-to-the-public weigh-in event on Friday, July 10th.

cant wait this is going to be the best event since ufc 92
Wow. Now I’m wondering how many tickets for this event were purchased just for marked up re-sale. I got my tix for next week, which before this event was the quickest sell out. I know a BUNCH of people selling off tickets for UFC 97, and still trying to get rid of them. I hope that people don’t get frauded out.
There’s always a problem with big events with people buying tickets to sell at a profit. What I’ve seen a few times is people buy them, then people buy them at overinflated prices online, then you actually end up with empty seats at the venue because the people that actually want to go but don’t want to pay $2,000 for $200 tickets don’t get tickets.
yea i saw a news clip of someone (maybe smokey robinson),
paying the cash back out of his pocket to an old lady who had gotten burned on resold tix to his concert.
I don’t know but that is a good point Figs, the rumour around the water cooler is that ticketmaster still has tickets for sale, but I don’t know how that works out (if ticketmaster has to buy a certain amount or whatever)….
Anyways UFC 100 is gettiing better and better, the build up the sellout the 2 title defenses so on and so forth…. I can’t wait to see this event its kinda huge………..
typically ticketmaster buys several amounts of tickets in bulk, they’ll sell a few cheaper in pre-sale type things, then they will release another higher priced block later on with an added convenience charge to both sets. they will also sell some to radio stations and other places to make money.
Yea dude i so wish i could go to this one especially since it’s not too far from where i’m @. This is definately the best card i’ve seen in a long tmie as it should be. Wonder who will inducted to the UFC hall of fame.
Sign in works, but won’t let me go to threads….
Anyways, anyone here going to 100? I got my tickets Thursday (212 row A baby!!!!). I must say UFC 100 ticket prices were ridiculous.
First, all the “$100 and $200″ tickets were gone in seconds. I don’t think they existed at all. I was lucky and got my $300 ones about 20 minutes into the presale. Second, the exact same seats in Columbus that went for $150 are $1000 for UFC 100. And lastly, figs and Justin bring up great points. You look at craigslist or kijiji and people are giving away their UFC 97 tickets; scalpers must have seen a potential sell out and jumped on it without realizing most Canadian mma fans won’t spend $1000 to see Silva beat up some schmuck. And at 91 and 96 (the only UFCs i’ve been to live) there were a lot of empty seats. At 91 we snuck down to and stayed in $750 seats from the nosebleeds and at 96 about 50% of the seats in our section (which ticketmaster claims was sold out) were empty; and that was the fighter entrance section where you’re guaranteed to be on tv.
ignore that preamble on the last one….works now
Wow, I love the UFC “MMa” more than any other sport. The only live fight I’ve been to was 87 and I had no problem forking out the $600 bucks for the front row tickets. I’m shocked to hear that the tickets for 97 are still up in arms like you guys are saying I thought there were not going to seats for miles ha-ha but like it was mentioned people wont pay $1000 bucks for a $150 seat I wouldn’t. At the Target Center where 87 was at I didn’t see a single seat open and hope the UFC is seeing these EMPTY seats and make them a reasonable price. After all a little lower price seat is better than an empty seat you would think in their eyes.
It’s not that the UFC has the seats over priced. The UFC has “sold out”, now there are people that purchased 10+ tickets with no plans of using any of them that are trying to sell them for 1000% mark up. They are the ones that we are talking about causing the empty seats. It is not the UFCs fault that these people do this.
