Spike TV To Air Top 100 UFC Fights in New Five-Part Series
PRESS RELEASE; New York, NY, April 9, 2009 – In celebration of UFC 100, Spike TV will present a 5-part special, “UFC’s Ultimate 100: Greatest Fights” highlighting the best 100 bouts in UFC history, as voted on by the fans. Voting will begin on May 1 on Spike.com (Ultimate100.spike.com) where fans can choose their top 100 fights from an extensive list of bouts selected by the UFC and Spike TV.
Each episode of “UFC’s Ultimate 100: Greatest Fights” will count down the top 100 with action-packed moments from each contest. The first one-hour installment will premiere Sunday, July 5 at 9:00pm ET/PT, with the next three episodes airing Monday July 6-Wednesday, July 8 at 9:00pm ET/PT. The final episode airs Saturday, July 11 at 9:00pm ET/PT which will conclude a re-broadcast of the entire voted UFC bout.
UFC 100 will air Saturday, July 11 at 10pm live on pay-per-view from the Mandalay Bay Events Center, in Las Vegas, NV. The details of the participants will be announced at a later date.

Liddell vs. Wanderlei is one of my personal favourites. It was a fight I waited A LONG TIME to see and it finally happened. Beyond that, no one got knocked out (which I still can’t believe) and they beat the **** out of eachother. Great fight.

Its funny how people call bj a ****. He may have quit, but he has also fought some top tier fighters. Secondly,how many fighters have you fought marvel knight. Have you choked out pulver or fought machida. I doubt it. Don’t call him a **** because its people like him that put thier lives on the line for our entertainment. MARVELKNOGHT4, don’t call him a pu$$y because odds are that he could beat you in a fight.

No one mentions Tank Abbot? I think he gets a raw deal as far as the history of MMA goes. There was a time when I first started watching MMA (before it was MMA) when he was the biggest star. Sure, he was a brawler, but all of his fights were awesome. I think he deserves to be on this list. My favorite was when he knocked out the Hawaiian guy in about 19 seconds, but that shouldn’t make the list.

I’ve got to admit I really hope the Randy vs “peepeetaste” (Andre Arlovski’s words not mine!) fight is up there.
That first 10 second where Randy knocked Tim to the ground was awesome. Given the fact that everyone counted Randy out I feel that this at least deserves to be in the top 20 just in respect for the legend that is Randy couture!
(Just for the record I have nothing against Tim Silvia – it was just a f*cking funny quote after Tim nailed Arlovski’s ex!)
Agreed – any GSP fight should be up there. Personally I liked the 2nd fight against Matt Hughes. What do you think about Maia vs Macdonald fight for the purists out there? The jujitsu in that fight was beautiful.
