Cung Le To Return in 2009, Rematch With Frank Shamrock Possible

According to a recent interview with Steve Cofield (which is embedded below), Strikeforce middleweight champion Cung Le plans to return to the cage later this year, possibly in a rematch against Frank Shamrock.
An undefeated Sanshou practitioner, Le has competed exclusively for Strikeforce since making his MMA debut in 2006, winning all six of his bouts via (T)KO. In his most-recent bout in March 2008, Le claimed the 185-pound title from Shamrock with a third-round TKO after Shamrock was unable to continue due to a broken arm.

awesome the first fight was great.Alot of fun antics.Not to many fighters can pull that off without looking like morons but it just seemed fiting in that fight.Hope for another good show.Although i do agree with jazz,on that i’d rather see him fight different competition in the ufc.
I agree with my boy Jazzkok, i would love to see Shamrock get another beatdown from Le after Nick Diaz is through with him. But i would like to see Cung Le in the UFC so he can fight more elite guys because…come on Frank Shamrock, he sucks a$$ in my opinion.

Cung Le hands down. Fedor at least puts on the chirade of fighting someone every six months.
Le is only hiding in Strikeforce and will forever be a what if unless he tries to step up his game and go to the UFC. I don’t think his movie career could handle the fall out from a beat down….so why fight and put it on the line when you can fight a guy that is past his prime whom you destoryed last year? Who has lost a bit since then. So what if he beats Frank again….step up your game Le. So us those nasty leg kicks against the best in the world. Be a man or stay in the moives but quit fighting guys that aren’t relavent any more. Let the stoner Diaz do that.
