Raphael Assuncao looked really good. he kept pushing and I was very impressed. Jameel Massouh was overmatched in this one but he never gave up. he has a lot of heart. great match.
Ya he did look rather good, both fights have been pretty good.. Now for gods sake Bart do something good would ya, damn he needs to impress in Chicago
And Bart loses again wtf, clean shot tho
If Njkouani can get even mediocre jj skills, he’s gonna be damn dangerous. He looks as big at 155 as THE GREATNESS does at 170.
He does look rather large, he needs to work on his JJ tho, but he has power forsure
Poor Bart Polakowski. Mir is really off tonight.
Well the place where u would go to view the WEC fights if you don’t have Versus, is no longer showing the fights, the feed is dead
Channel’s too high on cable for me to re-broadcast for you.
My friend emma was being moody and I had remind her with the F5 smackdown every now and again, it was brutal but we got through the trouble..
If emma continues to act that way I will definately hit you up for advice Kris thx
If you ever can’t find the fights give me a shout as I’ve usually got someway to watch them.
thx for the thought, It just rather sucks but owell perhaps it will keep back on but if not I will see it in a bit no doubt…
Curran looks good at bantam. Although Benevides looks a little more natural at that weight. Close round 1.
Uh the place is back up and I got there right when BigFrog got dropped, the 2nd round should be good
Before they announce, I’m calling split for Benevides. 29-28, 29-28, 28-29.
good fight didn’t see all of the first
Unanimous. Damn.
I can see that call, o well for the shhhit talking that Curran was doing towards Torres, oops talked a little too much
I think Mir had a good point re dropping weight. The first fight or two isn’t going to show what you are capable of. You need to learn how to manage the extra weight you’ve cut. In 6 months, I’d like to see that same fight. Something tells me Curran takes that one.
I think that in 6 months it could be Benevidos dropping weight to 125. He only weighed in at 134, and looked a lot smaller than Curran. But then again, if he keeps beating guys at 135, why make a change.
“Touch gloves, go back to your gloves….uh,corners.”
Uh oh. Torres bleeds. That isn’t good for the challenger.
Torres didn’t look his best, but damn that was a fight, I think it could have easily been a SD, but I also think that Torres should have won that fight, good stuff forsure
I had it 48-47 for Torres. The cut looked like it might be trouble when the doctor called his lil buddy in for a second opinion.
Yeah, definitely had that pit in my stomach feeling when the doctor got a second opinion. Torres didn’t look “his best” but I have to give some of that credit to Mizugaki. If I’m Torres’ trainer, after that fight, we go to work on take downs as soon as he gets back in the gym. He hardly showed any take down attempts, but rather just pull guard attempts, and dive at a knee bar attempts, and slip and fall and hope you jump into my guard attempts.
I was really impressed with Mizugaki, I scored the fight 48-47 as well, and to pick up two rounds on Torres is an accomplishment, then to do it on two weeks notice makes it even bigger. IMO Mizugaki is a strong number two at 135 (at least in the WEC, but probably world).
I think that even in the loss, Mizugaki moved up in the rankings, its says an awful lot taking Torres 5 rounds and taking some of them from him…. I think being given the #2 in the world is a stretch but hey I think he moved up… I don’t know why Torres didn’t take the fight down, yet again when he gets someone to trade with him, he perfers to do that sooo whatever, but him saying he’s thinking of retiring or moving up in weight, man he has to face Bowles imo and soon..
Still think Anderson is best “P4P” in the world. Don’t get me wrong Torres is a beast but Silva’s striking is a lot more devastating IMO. If he [Silva] hit’s ANYONE as many times as Torres hit Mizugaki in this fight they might not ever walk again let alone make it out of the fight alive lol. I was also very disappointed in the coverage on Verses was anyone else’s messed up, or was it some satellite issue?
Must have been satellite issues, because the only problem I saw was Mir butchering every name in sight.
…and Mir calling the fight through Torres colored glasses. If it were on radio you’d think Torres was putting on a clinic. It was an awesome fight. And I loved the Henderson finish.
Mir usually does a good job, but not so much last night. Wonder if he’s off the drugs from his knee surgery yet, I would think so… but… maybe not.
Great fight. Torres is the man.
I propose a Torres v. Bowles “Loser Shaves His Head” Match. I’m no Vidal Sasoon, but these two have to have the WORST haircuts in organized sport. I now open the discussion to bad haircuts:
Com’on how can u dis the Mexican Mullett?? Seriously he trimmed it down hence he went to a decsion, the trimming took away from his ultimate power… O by the way the worst hair is by far the hair displayed by Keijiro Maeda @ the K~1 HW GP…
I like how you reffered to it as hi “ultimate power”. I believe you are correct. As for Bowlies, he looks like he has lego hair.
the torres fight was great. he looked like a boxer with his combos and hand speed. his opponenet was game, and I thought torres had it 49-46. he was the more active fighter. had the fight gone to the ground it would have been over quick. Benavidez looked good, you could tell training with faber and his crew paid off big times. and like it was said above the first two fights after dropping to a lower weight class does not prove anything. curran will do damage after another fight. he had really good power and rocked Benavidez a few times. mir did a horrible job announcing. he screwed up names bad. it was a really good card and I think that WEC did the right thing by keeping those two classes as the only ones. very exciting fights.
