- Josh Koscheck will be unable to fight Chris Wilson at UFC 98 as scheduled after suffering a foot injury. The promotion is looking for a replacement for the matchup, which was to take place on the televised main card but will now likely be shifted to the unaired prelims. [The Wrestling Observer]
- Murilo “Ninja” Rua’s DREAM debut slated for Sunday at DREAM 8 in in doubt after opponent Dong Sik Yoon was forced out of the contest due to an undisclosed injury. DREAM is attempting to find a replacement for the bout. [Nightmare of Battle]
- All twenty-two fighters who will compete tonight at Bellator’s debut event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida successfully made weight yeterday for their bouts.
- In the wake of his recent controversy, UFC President Dana White will reportedly no longer do video blogs, has pulled out of a planned reality series, and will greatly reduce his public role with the UFC. [The Wrestling Observer]
- A featherweight matchup between Diego Nunes and Cub Swanson scheduled for Sunday at WEC 40 has been scratched due to a hand injury suffered by Nunes. A replacement will not be made on such short notice and the 145-pound bout has been removed from the card. [Versus]

that dana white report sounds bogus, maybe no more vlogs i could understand, but he really isnt going to do the press conferences and interviews? what about the TUF show that he is about to appear on every week? they going to edit him out? Plus the “report” doesnt even name an anonymous source let alone any sources.

Give dana a break he is human after all.. plus he works very hard for all of our entertainment.. Some guy was talkin junk and dana fired back at him.. dana just said the wrong words for what he was meaning. Really all the UFC should do from now on is just review the Blogs for Contant they don’t like and tell Dana to choose his words more carefully.
i can’t believe the media blew that video blog out of proportion. its annoying to see how naive the media still is about MMA. it was nice to see a backstage look at the ufc events and now no more because the gays became angry. GREAAAAT. it is okay for gays to be gay, whatever, thats their choice, but for dana to get crap for his comments is VERY gay. the demographic for mma fans is usually young, straight men, so why do they even care if someone like dana white speaks, even if he was a bit ignorant in mouthing off.
I wanted to see Kos fight, that’s too bad i guess. He’ll come back soon.
Dana white reducing his public role sounds like crap. He loves the attention and him being the way he is helps the UFC IMO. He does speak his mind,and usually when people do that they end up saying things they wish they could take back like his previous controversy. The UFC, IMO benefits a lot from Dana White’s public persona. He attracts attention and is a well know person now even though he is the way he is. He should just put this one incident behind him and continue bussiness as usual.

It’s a win win for the UFC with Kos not fighting. He gets talked about for not fighting, gets talked about for fighting too much, they increase his public attention leading up to ufc 98 and all the way through to his next fight. With his 20 month contract I am sure it’s great for his profile but a whole lot better for them. Is he becoming the UFC’s boy?

yeah dana’s definately a fan favorite. I think he does need to pick a time and place for his little outbursts only because no one wants to see someone they respect act like a juvenile kid. I personally think dana’s kool and like his what you see is what you get attitude, but like i said, he can kool it sometimes.
Him dropping out of this reality show i think is a bit extreme. I can understand the video blog coming to an end though.

I believe that Dana is going to do TUF (hell it is already shot), still going to do pressors, interviews and such.. The hell of the thing is that his vlog’s are done, I was really looking forward to his 98, 99, and especially UFC 100 vlogs then the build up for KenFlo v Penn vlog, I mean com’on this issue has been blown waaayyyyyy out of porportion and thats my opion, hell the man apologized F~it, let it go people, there is crazier shhhit going on in the world, how bout NY today, damn people let it go..
Kos being out is blah too me, but he has been fighting often and has accepted fights all together,good on him for that… And remember his contract is a Month length contract compaired to a Fight length contract, which could become interesting if he get injured one more time..
I really want to Ishida get signed for this bout, with Ishida winning their first encounter (decision) this is another good rematch, yet no title on the line but hey I’m down for it.. If this fight does get signed it might have to be at a resonable catchweight like 160 cuz Ishida is a rather large 155er but hey I just hope to have the oppritunity to see Ishida fight in person, that would be sick
Swanson needs to face someone soon, don’t get me wrong it sucks that dude got his hand all hurted and shhh but Swanson needs to be a face outthere or he will be forgotten imo, the best thing he has done recently is get choked by Jens o so long ago
I hope that Ninja gets a true opponent not some scrub/can

If Wilson were to fight Condit and win, it would be somewhat of a big deal because Condit is a somewhat of a big name and he’s the former WEC champ. So if Wilson were to beat Condit he would get an even bigger name after that. But in my personal opinion, Condit would destroy Wilson, despite his somewhat lasckluster loss to Kampmann.

As much hate as dana gets from everybody i can honestly say Im gonna miss the video blogs and i really hope dana still stays publicly with theufc…I cant imagine a press conference,weigh in, T.U.F. show without dana and I would actually kind of miss him……His comments are forgiven and he made a mistake other people who are bigger than dana have made far worse comments and have not got roasted as much as he has had…ive also heard the gay and leisan sommunity wants the ufc to do a show where all the money goes to somekind of gay/lesbo charity and even though i doubt that will happen…if it did i can honestly say i wouldnt support it ans wouldnt watch the event but that talk better done in the forum so ill leave that behing but i highly doubt that rumor is true anyways because no president of any major sports orginization is stupid enough to get there political views in front of there sport and fans…..I still respect dana and i also think loretta hunts a nice lady good interviews she likes the sport

I have my doubts that he will actually pull back from the public eye like that. 1. He’s the president of the company and it doesn’t seem to be his character. 2. I don’t trust Meltzer. 3. The Vlogs and the reality series can edit out any foot and mouth moments. 4. Dana could just get a teleprompter for any public engagements, thats what the President does.

Man this sucks bad, I really looked foward to dana’s blogs. I hope this does not affect the UFC, I am a huge fan and dana is a huge part of this sport and the UFC. Hopefully all of this crap will die down and pick up where we left off. I must say I will miss him if he follows thru with this.

I think this release about dana having a more “private” role is just so the gay alliance crap shuts up. the ufc will probably have him quiet until ufc 97 or 98. dana will still do his blogs and everything, now I just think there will be someone to watch the vlogs before they are released for any homophobic slurs. lets be real guys it wasnt like dana called out all gays and berated them all he said was one person was a fag. thats it. he didnt even bad mouth gays. he said one word and that group had a ****fit. its ludicrous that this is even a issue. I could see if he said all gays are going to hell blah blah blah, but he didnt. anyone else feel the same about that? I am almost certain after a couple of weeks dana will be back to doing his normal interviews and vlogs and stuff. he pretty much is the face of the ufc, at least the corporate side.

I think what Dana did was horrible. I think getting pissed cause of the fag comments is a little ridiculous. I think Dana definitely should have chosen another route to go across publicly dissing this chic. I dont think Dana has any problem with gays or women. People are being far to overdramatic over this. I mean Dana screwed up and he messup up and he admitted that. But Dana was totally true about the press jumping on negative things. They always do that because it makes for compelling news. I heard MMA Nation, and the jackass host was just like all these super liberals who jump on celebs and company heads. Dana was pissed because hes tired of hearing people diss MMA and praise boxing which is the most retarded argument ever. As a reporter credibilty is the most important thing one has. She threw out all these ridiculous statements, which may be true but, she has no credible sources or anything. And about the issue on shielding certain fighters. They do this in every sport. The NBA protects Labron, Kobe, and probably protected MJ. For people to say the Dana incident stops them from watching MMA and very very “special” and not in a good way. Basically this is one of those things where like it happens so often in our society nowadays. In closing I didn’t say that Dana was in the right, just saying that many people are being very overexaggerated over this subject. People are overlooking Sherdog being very very irresponsible in letting Loretta Hunt post this story. People who diss on MMA have no grounds in their argument. Peace Love and Rock ‘n’ Roll.
