Palaszewski Replaces Pettis at WEC 40
Bart Palaszewski will replace Anthony Pettis and take on Anthony Njokuani at WEC 40 on April 5th in Chicago.
Pettis was forced out of the bout with a broken hand, according to MMA Junkie.
Palaszewski (30-10) became an IFL standout with wins in eight of his first nine bouts in the promotion, but next suffered three-straight losses to Deividas Taurosevicius, Chris Horodecki, and Jim Miller. After defeating Jeff Cox at Adrenaline MMA’s debut event, “Bartimus” signed with the WEC and successfully debuted with a win over Alex Karalexis, but most-recently suffered a unanimous decision loss to Ricardo Lamas at WEC 39.
After losing just once in his first ten career bouts, Njokuani (9-2) debuted in the WEC at WEC 38, losing to Ben Henderson via second-round submission.
