Okay hate is a little strong, but I really think he is over-rated. I agree with the rest of the world that his ground game is awesome, perhaps the best BJJ in the WW world. But his striking is still so bad, his wrestling is sub-par, and his take down defense is lacking. That all being said, I don't think Lawyer is going to go in there and try to GnP Jake Shields at all. It's bang or go home for Lawyer, which will work out to his benefit if he can keep from being taken down by the smaller Shields. If he can avoid the take down he will pick Shields to pieces. If he does go to the ground it will be a long night. I don't see Shields pulling off a quick submission. Those Militech guys are really slick with their subs and sub defense. Lawler, if he worked on a few things, would be a great addition to the UFC's 185 roster. A few more fights each and these guys should try and move into the UFC, in my opinion.
