Word is Affliction are bringing that Bulgarian guy who topped him in that sambo comp a few month back in for a so called “rematch/grudge match” and to be fair the only cat they can give to Josh Barnett thats has fights remaining with them is Buentello

Chris basically summed up my feelings as to why I don’t like Affliction. However, not only did Affliction have guys in the UFC wearing their shirts, but EliteXC as well. When rumors started that Affliction was looking to start their own promotion, they were banned from both organizations. I have read reports (though I do not know anything regarding their accuracy) that there was actually an offer floated by Affliction before the first PPV that they would disband the promotion and not run the event if the UFC would let them back into the Octagon.

I also think that it is messed up that they hail themselves as champions for fighter pay just because they pay the guys at the top of the card sums of money they are not worth, while the guys at the bottom get less than the guys at the bottom in the UFC.

Personally with Affliction I do not like the way they do business, I thought it was pretty messed up(and unethical) to start a company on the backs of UFC fighters(and Dana White too) and then try to steal them away when you want to start your own company. I still love and respect DREAM and other organizations but I cannot respect a guy who starts like that and then gets pissed when the UFC fights back.

The price has been the same here but I’d rather not pay to see a bunch of fighters who are past their prime(other than Fedor) when I could watch much better competitions. The Affliction cards were ok(watched them online) but still not as good as the DREAM, UFC cards or even WEC cards.

ok…im curious why everyone hates Affliction so much. Is it because t-shirt guy started getting big because of UFC, then he went rogue? You dont like any of the fighters?

Im seriously not trying to be an asshole, but I’ve watched the last 2 Affliction cards and both were pretty good (especially since they charge less than UFC in CO). Is it sort of like people that hate PS3/Xbox360 just because they own the other one and like it so much?
