UFC 70: David Heath to Replace Griffin

David Heath (7-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) will be replacing Forrest Griffin at UFC 70 according to The Fight Network. Heath will face undefeated Ryoto Machida (9-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC). Griffin was forced to withdraw yesterday from the April 21st event due to a severe staph infection in his knee.

Heath dominated in his first UFC fight at UFC 62 winning at the half way point of the first round with a submission over Corey Walmsley. His next fight was a closely contested split decision over Victor Valimaki at UFC Fight Night 7 in December. Mahchida beat Sam Hoger at UFC 67 in Febuary to win his UFC debut.
