The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil is in for a bit of drama next time out as the show will be coached by Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva. The two will coach the upcoming season in Brazil that will air some time in 2014. UFC president Dana White revealed the news in an interview with Sonnen on tonight’s edition of FOX Sports Live.
The upcoming engagement will not affect Sonnen’s UFC 167 fight with Rashad Evans. Sonnen and Silva will fight after the conclusion of the reality show at a to-be-determined UFC event. The coaching gig will be Sonnen’s second in two years after coaching opposite UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones on the U.S. iteration’s seventeenth season.
An official weight class for the reality series has yet to be announced at this time however the UFC will hold tryouts for middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight on November 11 in Rio de Janeiro.
