UFC To Return To UK “At End of Summer”

The UFC is planning to hold its next show in the UK “at the end of summer,” according to a Fighters Only interview with UFC UK President Marshall Zelaznik.
Zelaznik also noted that the promotion could stage another show in the country in “early fall”.
The UFC will next return to Europe for UFC 99, which is slated for June 13th in Cologne, Germany and co-headlined by Rich Franklin vs. Wanderlei Silva.
Though no locations or bouts have yet been rumored for the upcoming UK cards, middleweight champion Anderson Silva is expected to square off with Michael Bisping in the UK should both fighters win their upcoming bouts against Thales Leites and Dan Henderson respectively.

Hendo vs. Bisping will be a great match up but I see Henderson coming out on top.
I would love to see the Spider absolutely destroy the Count in front of his home crowd! But I won’t get that chance since Hendo will destroy him first.
Very witty comments, providing you have reason to dislike Bisping. After watching Bisping disrespecting Arvloski by addressing the audience during Arvloski’s fight at UFC70 in Manchester, i am right with you. I dont think Bisping will ever be able to tell his grand-kids about the time he shared the ring with the great Anderson Silva, gentleman Dan will see to that.
i hope bisbang does beat hendo, so he gets his title shot so he can try to win by desision that will be fun to watch

It is because he is very over-rated. It’s not his fault but he is used as a pawn in the UFC’s game to market itself to the UK. With that being said, I do think he is a good fighter and has nice technique on his feet but he is not as good as the UFC is trying to make him out to be.
Jumped up internet warriors who don’t train MMA hate Bisping because of a decision three Judges made at UFC 75. You could also throw in him winning TUF 3, beating every guy they’ve hyped to Hell to beat him (McCarthy, Day, Leben), getting a nod from one Judge against Rashad Evans, and petty stuff like he’s British, he draws big in the UK and his name’s not Chuck, him and Rampage are good friends, blah, blah.

Only way Bisping would own Silva is if he buys his action figure or waits until UFC 2009 Undisputed comes out. Even in the video game he would probably still lose. EtherBunny said it best as to why a lot of MMA fans outside the UK bust on Bisping so much. I am glad they are finally matching him up with a top 10 MW. 1 of 2 things will happen, Bisping will be destroyed and we can joyous or he beats Hendo and the UK fans feed us all crow.
I would like to say, lets not turn this into the “Bash Bisping” thread. I personally like the guy, want him to do well, and pull for him when he fights. I just try to be realistic about where I believe his abilities are.
Bisping might be good who knows, the UFC refuses to give him a fight where we get to see him pushed out of the newb zone and into the champion zone.
I’d like to see The Count tested but until then I’ll just settle for wondering why he’s a coach on TUF when he’s such an accomplished fighter ?
