UFC 165 drew 15,504 fans in attendance for a $1.9 million live gate last night at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. UFC president Dana White announced the numbers at the UFC 165 Post-Fight Press Conference.
Last night’s card saw UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones retain his belt in an instant classic with Alexander Gustafsson. The five round war will likely stand as one of the best five round title fights in UFC history as both combatants left everything they had on the canvas last night in Toronto.
Last night’s gate matched UFC 152’s (which Jones headlined as well) gate of $1.9 million but the lower numbers in attendance, 15,504 to UFC 152’s 16,800, show a higher average price for last night’s fight card. The amount of compensated tickets for last night’s card were not announced.
