Karo Parisyan Remains Temporarily Suspended
The Nevada State Athletic Commission announced Tuesday that UFC welterweight Karo Parisyan will remain temporarily suspended after testing positive for Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, and Hydromorphone following his January victory over Dong Hyun Kim
In the days leading up to the bout rumors surfaced that Parisyan may not be medically cleared for the contest due to a prescription taken for anxiety and panic attacks, causing the UFC to have a replacement on hand should he be forced out of the fight. However, “The Heat” was ultimately permitted to compete, earning a close decision win at UFC 94.
With it appearing to be only a matter of time before a suspension and fine are handed down, Parisyan will next appear in front of the NSAC in mid-March when the commission is expected to make a final ruling on the test.
It is expected that his suspension will make him unavailable for his rumored UFC 98 fight against Josh Koscheck.

the detection of the dope should make his fight against dong hyun a NC and not a victory . if Diaz got a NC against Gomi for weed then the same applies here
ya totally…
weed is not a performance enhancing drug… hence why ross rebagliati(olympic snow boarder who won gold) got to rettain his gold medal…
if anything weed would take away your cardio conditioning as well as heart/drive…
pain killers and anti-anxiety drugs on the other hand do increase performance… this fight should be a NC
“weed is not a performance enhancing drug”
You should probably go tell that to Eddie Bravo, because he seems to think rolling stoned has several advantages.
sure it does
of course he thinks he does him good, he prolly also thinks he can fly…
it didnt work for towlie
Kos will hand him his ass
Kos vs karo would have been a good fight. BUt what if kos loses this saturday against newcomer paul thiago? Now that karo’s fight against Dong Kim will be a no contest and therefor NOT a loss for kim, they should have swick fighting against kim.
Karo Parisyan, when he comes back he really needs to step it up because he was out for a long time and i feel he should have lost his last fight. My point is..Dude! Your at 170, if you want to get back to the top you have to get in way better shape than you are now and take things a bit more seiously because you have a lot of talent and potential.Plus your still young, don’t waste your prime dude cause at 170 GSP is the man and if you or anyone else wants to beat him your gonna have to be at your absolute best. So “heat” get it together or your going to get left behind buddy
