UFC featherweight Matt Grice remains hospitalized after a severe car crash Sunday night in his native Oklahoma. The off-duty police officer, and UFC 166 fighter, suffered severe head trauma after being rear-ended in Shawnee, Oklahoma and underwent emergency surgery following his admission to the hospital.
Grice had brain surgery on Monday morning and has remained sedated since. Grice’s friend Daniel Rubenstein tweeted an update about his condition on Monday night:
Matt is still sedated. Pupils reacting to light. Another catscan planned for tonight sometime. Matt’s wife went home to be with their girls.
