Jason “Mayhem” Miller vs. Kala Hose Booked for KINGDOM MMA’s Debut Event
Attention all Mayhem Monkeys: Jason “Mayhem” Miller will return from his short retirement to face Kala “Kolohe” Hose in the headlining matchup of KINGDOM MMA’s debut event on the weekend of March 28th at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii.
In his career Miller has a solid record of 21-6, owning wins over Denis Kang and Robbie Lawler. He also took current UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre to a decision, but was defeated in the bout. His last fight was last June where he suffered a defeat at the hands of Ronaldo Souza. Prior to that fight he was riding the wave of a 4 fight win streak. Miller will undoubtedly be the stronger fighter on the ground in this match up of styles, and that is where he most likely will push for this one to go.
Hose can accurately be defined as a pure standup fighter. All of his 7 wins have been by TKO. Kala is an exciting fighter that rarely leaves the fight in the hands of the judges. He hasn’t let a fight go to decision since losing a unanimous decision to Reese Andy in the early part of 2005. Hose will likely try to keep the fight standing so that he can use his superior punching power to finish Miller.
This looks to be an exciting fight and will provide the winner with a key victory to add to their resume. Mayhem was once a fighter that seemed destined to be a UFC star. His exciting style and solid ground game could be marketed in the UFC today but they have shown little to no interest.

This fight is really interesting to me… Hell Mayhem is a talent and really entertaining, Kala is a brute, I think that Mayhem will take him to the ground and sub him but imo it’s good that Mayhem didnt take his retirement seriously, also his little write~ups in FIGHT! mag are worth the read, well atleast the last time i bought that mag…
Mayhem Monkeys UNITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…… the ufc needs to bring back mayhem!!!!!!!!!!!!!hose is good but mayhem should be able to beat him pretty easily imo
Does seem odd that he only had one fight in the UFC,that being his UD Loss to St.Pierre.
Nice! Exciting entrances and exciting fights! Mayhem is only 28 and could still make it back to the big show, a few good wins and who knows. W’s over Denis Kang and Robbie Lawler and going the distance with GSP proves this guy can hang, training with Team Quest still I believe aswell as Rampage and Randy Couture hopefuly after 6 or 7 month out he wont be rusty, Kala is a big dude who will be looking to throw hands but if this fight goes to ground he taps. DaBoss predicts Miller via sub 2nd round. Tick tick boom
Would love to see Mayhem back in the UFC. Cmon Dana, do it for the fans. Curious why the UFC hasnt shown much interest in him. He’s a great ambassador for the sport
Not really sure why Miller isn’t back in the UFC but I suspect it has more to do with Mayhem than Dana. I believe he is under contract with DREAM but I’d love to see him back in the UFC because he’s always fun to watch and hell he did fight in the WEC in ‘07 so I think he just likes the freedom of not being in the UFC.
I thought Mayhem retired?
He did, but he quit retirement, like Brett Farve did last year, and Randy Couture has done multiple times.

Yeah, c’mon timcat, I know it’s been a while since you commented, but that question was like throwing a BP pitch to dbiz.
Sorry I promise to read the article before I post a comment.
Where can you watch the Mayhem fight? I can’t find any way to watch it online or pay-per view…DING!
BJPenn.com is streaming the undercard but I’m not aware of anywhere to watch Mayhem-Hose.
