A women’s bantamweight bout between former US Marine Liz Carmouche and Alexis Davis is headed to UFC Fight Night 31 (aka UFC Fight for the Troops 3). The bout will likely land on the evening’s FOX Sports 1 main card. Yahoo Sports first reported the matchup with UFC officials confirming the bout later in the day.
The bout will be a crucial one in the UFC’s Women’s bantamweight division with Camouche and Davis both picking up victories in their last outings. Carmouche would get back in the win column, following her UFC 157 to champion Ronda Rousey, by defeating Jessica Andrade at UFC on FOX 8. Davis would mark a successful UFC debut by defeating veteran Rosi Sexton at UFC 161.
Headlining UFC Fight Night 31 will be a middleweight matchup between Lyoto Machida and United States Army Special Forces sniper Tim Kennedy. The fight card will air live on November 6 via FOX Sports 1, with the preliminary card likely landing on Facebook.
