Ken Shamrock Returning to Action

Aging UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock is scheduled to participate in the main event of “Wargods: Valentine’s Eve Masacre” this coming Friday night in Fresno, California at the Selland Arena. The event is a co-promotion between Wargods and KSP (Ken Shamrock Promotions), marking the fighter’s first foray into the world of promoting.
Shamrock has put up a 2-8 record in his last 10 fights, and brings a five fight losing streak into the event, and recently admitted to MMAJunkie that he knows his days as an elite level fighter are over. Friday night’s fight seems to be channeling the Japanese infatuation with “freak show” fights, as Shamrock is slated to face the 6′8″, 340 lbs Ross “Grizzly” Clifton. Shamrock, in response to criticism of the match up, told MMAJunkie:
It’s something that’s interesting to me. I’ve never fought anybody that’s that big before. I’ve seen a lot of other guys that have been able to do that and it just seemed interesting to me. It’s another challenge for me to go in there and fight somebody that big. I’ve done everything in this business, but I haven’t fought anybody that’s 400 pounds. I thought, ‘Man, what a challenge.’
Rumors have also already begun to circulate that regardless of the outcome of Friday Night’s fights, Shamrock’s next opponent could be fellow old timer, David “Tank” Abbot, who will also be in action this weekend, against Mike Bourke.

Ok, well where to start…. hmmmmmm….. War Gods is putting this on in the Selland Arena in my home town, wow the excitment yay, I might end up going to this just out of pure wonder of the freak show that will commence… Ken Shammy Shamm v Super Heavy Guy, well which one will gas first? Tank is fighting too and if they both win they will fight one another yippie (which if that fight happend 12 years ago would have been kinda cool), seeing Cabbage is cool i guess he is a concrete head and likes to bang (who doesnt?)…. for this exciting card the ringside tickets are $350.00, then 200.00, 100.00, 50.00, 40.00 and the w/c tickets are $30.00… Wow I’ve been to a few shows and to pay $350 for a ticket well lets just say the card doesnt justify that sort of money…. I’m just interested in this because of the novelty of the situation and I dont want to miss out on this wonderful freakshow of MMA.. So if my schedule permits perhaps i will get in, somehow.. if not i will have to watch the travisty on justin.tv or something

Yeah, De Jesus didn’t show that killer instinct though, he knew he had the home cooked scoring on his side, and he had the second and probably the first, and just went out there and tried not to get KOed the last round.
Jusitn it wasnt a 30-27 fight at all he did have the first and second as you said then he got clipped in the third but whatever, the judging tonight has been awful, well the card soo far has been as well.. The girl fight was pretty good tho
I missed the girl fight. I came in on the third round of the Haynes fight, when I heard Thompson talking about that guy running the whole fight, then that it was a split decision, I knew the judging was screwy. Then 30-27 Unanimous was ridiculous, maybe 30-27, 29-28, 29-28… but yeah, how can no one give a round to Boweman.

That fight wasn’t so bad. For me, the audio was better on sherpup, but Kris said he had no audio there, so he went to justin.tv. The picture is a bit bigger on justin.tv without having to go full screen so… I’m wathing on justin.tv now.
