Velasquez looked great technically but i was perplexed as to why he could not finish this guy. He has shown power in the past, enough to take out whoever he has faced. Maybe a step up in competition will tell more, i could not believe the shots Stojnic took and still was there.
Danzig reminds me of Ed Herman so much, in this last fight though Josh Neer showed that speed kills, as so often seen the faster fighter usually wins in the end.
Mac has power and decent ground skills but lacks that fast ruthless ability to finish some of these top guys. Neer seemed to get into Macs head with his “Diaz” like antics. Danzig also has a very straight ahead attack and is highly predictable.
On a positive note this could be the loss that helps Mac change it up a bit and strive to be a better fighter, it happens to the best of them.

-Very impressed with Lauzon’ ground game.He mixed it up alot.And how about that firemans carry,lol,you don’t see that every day.

-Johnson should have got ‘knockout of the night’ not Valasquez.Stojnic wasn’t defending himself but he wasn’t close to being knocked out either.

-Tibau looked impressive also.Have to keep an eye on his progression.Definitely a threat in the LW division.

anyways…..mac danzig needs to rethink his carrear maybe if he ate some real protein..aka (MEAT!!!!)…..then he would win…i say put diaz and danzig versus each other…….diaz should win pretty clearly……….can the miller brothers lose!……well yes they can dan miller will keep winning!….but i cant say the same for his brother…for his brother will fall to the lw wrecking machine that is grey maynard soon enough….and then gray will fight another top guy after that and earn his title shot soon enough…..maynard wil be lw champ by end of 09 or early 10

Good fights last night.

Thought Velasquez looked good. He needs to start facing better compition. I think his next opponent should be Hardonk. Would be a good test.

I don’t really like Lauzon, or his brother for that matter, but looked good against Stephens.

Thought that the Grice fight should have been stopped earlier. He had him on queer street.

Rosholt needs more seasoning at local shows before coming up to the big time.

AJ is a freaking beast. Great training is the key. He will be a handfull for anyboby.

Danzig is not as good as first thought. Poor showing. I really have no coment on Neer, as we are not allowed to bash fighters here. PUNK!

As for UFC95, well Chael Sonnen is in for a very bad day. Maia is not an out of shape head case, hello Paulo, he is a BJJ machine.

just watched the tibau v clementi prelim on ufc.com….clementi got totally worked. he sure talks a lot of **** for someone who doesn’t have wins over any really strong fighters.
